In the worst of times you need to laugh

Ya.. another hurricane thread..but with humor! seriously now..with all this crap going on you sometimes have to sit back and laugh at how unimaginable it is.. so here goes and sorry if i hurt anybodies feelings!

If Katrina was ever soundtrack the tracks would be :

I bet sales of Miami Hurricanes starter jackets are WAY down.

A lot of people in the french quarter were drinking hurricanes during the storm :) I was going to try and go get one the day after it hit (august 31st) because it was my birthday..but ended up spending my birthday driving finding a hotel instead heh.. oh well!

Rap artist The Game just changed the name and logo for the shoe line he had recently launched too. The had to redo the manufacturing and everything. Prior to the Katrina, he had named the line "Hurricane Game” but decided that might not go over so good anymore.

There seems to be a trend of that going on.. apparently last year there was two movies depicting New Orleans during a Cat 5 hurricane and that the (ironically) 17th street levee had busted flooding new orleans. it was one of those made for lifetime movies things but hasnt until recently gotten more attention. strange eh?

Q- Why are hurricanes named after women?


A- Because they arrive all wet and wild, but when they leave they take your house and your car.

I heard from my brother who has re-opened his bar in the French Quarter, he said business was a little quiet, but was picking up now that some of his regulars have been drifting back in.

i dont think hurricanes are named after specifically women...cause I think there have been some guy names too...someone told me they go in alphabetical order...actually I just found it..there is a preset list of names
