Since I haven't done one in a while, here is one. What is your favorite musical instrument?
To start here:
Mine is the violin. I guess that's a bit old fashioned, but the fervor they achieve, the desperation they seem to have stirs everything from a feeling of friendliness to extreme destitute lonliness to an extreme rage. They do so well when not even amplified at making their presence known.
After that, I like Tuba and trombone.
I agree with you ..the violin can make you feel 1,000 different ways; kind of like a Led Zeppelin song. I really admire Niccolo` Paganini's work. After that, I would say the piano.
Violins, Guitars, Drums, and Lots of other stuff, but mainly those I listed. Not in any particular order.

The violin and its wod wind counter part the oboe are very lovely, but my heart belongs to the flute, the bass flute to be specific. and there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the french horn....or was that deformed pinkies...

The human voice.
Apparently some people know how to use it quite well, others don't.
My favourite musical instruments to listen to are cello, then a tie between piano and harpsicord. However, my favourite instruments to play are flugelhorn, bass guitar, and oboe, in that order. I like instruments with significant resonance primarily. It gives the music more soul....
I suppose I could also add my Technics, does that count?

I thought it would be really excellent to play the flute when I was a little kid. I had seen some outdoor symphony involving animals as portrayed by musical instruments. I couldn't make the damn flute make a sound though. After a series of frustrating and I suspect pricey lessons, the flute was disposed of.
It's just like blowing across the top of an empty beer bottle. Breath control is the hard part. It takes twice as much air to operatea flute than it does to play the tuba.Quote:

After that i would choose drums, though. I like the way i can feel them in my head, in my guts, and in my sex.

I got to hear cello, with a piano accompanyment this last Sunday. Around my way it was sort of a fad to have Cello's in you whatever type band (rock, jazz, etc.).Quote:
