Fire arms and shooting shit

Ok so i know we have a few fire arms aficionados here and im planning on buyng my first gun later this year:D my dad has an old berreta he bought way the fuck back in 1974, and ive goten some good practice with it. Its fun and all but i wana be able to shoot stuff from long distances so im planning on a long range riffle. i got my eyes set on one of these

I dont have any guns at the moment i used to have 3 old M1s one was a bolt action with a scope, one was a carbine, and one was a standard i sold all of them though cause i went through a point where i really needed money plus after i left millitary school i wasnt on a rifle or drill team and had no use for them.

big Ruger fan too Evilbink. I learned to shoot automatics on a P89... i think their whole Polymer series are great ... and they dont cost a fortune. I'm eyeballin a Blackhawk with interchanagable .45colt / .45acp cylinders... yummy.

in terms of handguns i am just starting out... took awhile to get a carry permit in NY state.

have to say im intrigued by long range weaponry, i love long range rifles, theres a beauty to the precision of em, as for blades it has to be the classic folded steel samurai sword.

Id swear in a court of law to this.. went squirrel hunting down near Harrison Ark, and saw one on a branch in a tree, so I took aim, shot and saw the squirrell fall to the ground..but when I and My friend got to it, and examined it, it was clutching its chest with one paw and the other outstretched.. but no bullet wound or blood, seems I scared the thing into a heartattack instead of filling it with lead

God, there is a ton of squirrels there. My grandpa used to be a lineman for Entergy, so he'd have to climb poles to get the dead squirrels off of them when they didn't quite make it across.

Haha, no. Hillbilly as they may be, he never said that (though he does call my grandma "Ma" sometimes. He has a large repetoir, dispite my spelling, of hillbilly phrases.)

i figured being a military man youd have a mini armory back home :1orglaugh
in regards to the mossberg what kind of kick does it have? ive always been kinda intimidated by shotguns and large caliber handguns since im a prety small guy, Im scared something will blow my arm off but they look like so much fun to fire :(
