UNIX/Linux
I've got a question. Did you have experience of home use of UNIX/Linux-like systems? If so, which release was it, and what advantages and weaknesses have you noticed?
Also, if there are any Mac, or, maybe OS/2 users who can give a bit of chart, i'd be happy to read it :)

Re: UNIX/Linux
Suse 9.3-current. SUSE is a no-brainer for install, has most of the software, and can coexist next to your windows. But that aside, I'd go to OS 10.4 (Tiger) anyday. BSD-at the core, yummy GUI on top. FreeBSD is nice too...

Re: UNIX/Linux
Fedora i386.....I am just learning to use this OS and I cant really do much with it Yet...I like the GUI and the install was a snap....Took a damn long time to download the ISOs....
I am looking for a good user manual of sorts to teach me a little more about UNIX based systems....I am wanting to start a mail server and a simple File server.....I have some version of Apache but I cannot figure out how to install or configure it on Fedora....
If anyone knows where I can find such help I would appreciate it..
