He jumped out of my dad's arms, and he hit something. My dad told me to come downstairs quick... and I saw him just laying there. I picked him up, and he was breathing really fast, and sounded like he was having a sort of hard time breathing. I held him, but he jumped out of my arms, and he walked with a mild limp. I'm worried sick about him. I don't know what to do... and we can't afford another animal hospital bill. My other cat had to have surgery which costed like 1000 or 4000$.

He's gotten a little bit better. I'm almost postive he hit his head and left front leg on my sis' bass. His breathing is much better now... its back at normal... I just put him on my bed with my older kitty. So he should be OK, I hope.
he was probably in shock...cats are drama queens..the first night i got m,y cat i was painting my nails and my cat started throwing up foam and shaking....she was fine the next day...
yep,,, sounds like the kat got the wind knocked out of it for a spell, but should be back to norm tomorrow, and the leg as well
He's back to normal for the most part. His leg is still raised when he sits. But he was playing with my other cats when I went to check on him.

cats love to make you feel guilty... like if i barely step on mine's foot.. she cries and walks with it in the air for like an hour till she gets tired of it.

If your kitten is still being tender with his paw after a few days, I'd reconsider getting a vet to check him. Something nearly similiar happened to a co-worker at another job. The cat seemed to be fine, but after a week they noticed he wasn't doing certain things with the paw like he used to and decided to take him to a vet. Apparently, the cat had broken it's paw. The vet told them that male cats that mainly live outside or are feral will hide injuries like that, since it is a sign of weakness to other male cats.
I sincerly hope that the kitten is okay. :(
Poor kitty. Yes cats are drama queens and masters of the guilt trip (Rob's even chews me out if i don't get out of bed when he does). But if it's been a day or two you might want to have some one look at it. My grandmother adopted a cat from Noah's Ark in Fla and took it to get a check up. They had to re break the kitties back leg and reset it. The cat absoultly hated her after that.

Sounds like he was just in shock. You should take him to the Vet if the leg doesn't improve.

Yeah. My dad told me that if his leg isn't any better by tomorrow or something, we're going to see the vet over the weekend. Besides, he needs to get his first check-up, and shots - he's old enough now.
