So what's your favorite songs to drink to? And why?



Mine right now are:
~Straight Tequila Night - John Anderson

I like this one 'cause it reminds me of myself, when I would go out drinking with my friends.
Though is sorta has some private meaning behind it. It brings up some ol' memories of times that were wasted loong ago, before I started to have this new 'try to make a better life for myself stage'.

~Let Me Go - 3 Doors Down

Another song with hidden meanings behind it. It actually depicts what my life used to be, besides the part where I have a kid. Though I've never been knocked up......thank god. *laughs*

~Alcohol - Brad Paisley

It reminds me of when I got plastered. I seriously remember those good times with my friends, the stupid shit we've done.....ahhh the good ol' times.

Well those are mine, just to name a few.....

Any Celtic song on the planet. Great Big Sea are good. Anything with Bagpipes and an Accordian and a Fiddle are good in my books. Nothing like having a pint with some friends at a good old irish bar!

Anathema. Some wonderfully singable parts in their songs, best one being Emotional Winter (WAAAA-STED MOOOMENTS DON'T RE-TUUUURN *deep breath* and WEEEEE will NEVERRRR *pause* FEEEEAR AGAAAAAIN *applause*), plus I have a pretty low vocal range for a girl, and I can hit boy notes eerily well.

Or all my Cure/David Usher songs if I'm feeling very sad.

Aye, any good dredge on the pipes is a good way to start a yard or pint, Chieftans come to mind, but as the night progresses, its got to get louder and heavier, sumerland and dead can dance for instance to end the night

I prefer the lovely tones of the bottles clinking together as the bartender gets me the next round, as opposed to some bit of music. But..If I had to pick a perticular drinking song, it would be Ode to Joy, Beethoven. Why? It always reminds me of the scene in the milkbar from A Clockwork Orange.

Overkill- Old School comes to mind...realistically tho, if im awake, im listening to metal....i dont think i could really pin down specifics but anything i can sing to is pretty good....Arch Enemy- Ravenous for that reason....

Hey FG, thanks to your recomendation I checked out these guys' website and heard a coupld of their songs so I ordered their latest album.

Thought it was awesome, leant it to my parents who also thought it was awesome, so the three of us found out they were playing in Philly last night and went to the show. It kicked ass and we had a blast and now have all 3 of their albums. Thanks for the rec.:thumb:

I have to back the Tom Waits because I like the Tom Waits drinking game.

You turn on a Tom Waits album and every time you black out and wake up on some strangers couch you drink again. :thumb:
