Yeah, so I totally "borrowed" Scar's thread title. But I have an equal catastrophe.

I found out today that when my academic director told me I had 22 credits left before I graduated (this was a semester or so ago) he actually meant I had 22 CLASSES left.

So I've been going on the assumption that I'd be graduating in March when it actually won't be until around september or so. But I lose my apartment in March because that's when I told the landlord I'd be leaving. He's trying to get everyone out so he can turn my building into condos....


I am SOOOOOOOO fucking pissed right now.

i'm sorry, that was totally uncalled for. As I told scar in her thread, renting apartments / houses so rarely ends up as a long-term beneficial setup. From the sounds of it you need to find a month by month setup or throw your stuff in storage and live on couches.

ya really cant blame the money craving landord... to them it's an investment... they dont look at it as someone's home.

Similar, not equal.

Besides, you chose to leave, so it isn't even similar really.

It suxors, but someone didn't kick you out of your home.

Next time the title will be something embarrassing. It is confusing to navigate the board with threads with identical titles. :-p

I didn't choose to leave. My lease was up in August but I begged the landlord to let me stay until I graduated and he agreed because the other tenants' lease wasn't up yet and he couldn't do anything anyway.

Now I have to do some real ass-kissing to see if I can stay....

***AWESOMENESS UPDATE***

So today I get a knock at my door. It's a real estate broker telling me that he's buying the building at the end of the month and wants to renovate it in a hurry so he wants me out...

But he has a place in a great neighborhood, 2 blocks from my job, which is a one bedroom (I now have a studio) and if I can move out by december, he'll pay for the movers, give me 2 months of rent free AND keep me at the same low rent I have now!!!!!!

I'm wicked excited about this!

So I moved into my new place on Monday totally hung over from my birthday party sunday night. My new place rules and it's gradually getting to look killer. The only down side is that my xbox somehow got killed during the movie with my Vice City disk locked in it so I'm pissed about that. But I'll survive.

sorry to hear about that xbox... glad the move went well...

...I'm moving tomorrow...

...we forgot to ask, how's Scar's move going?

Well I was so hurt when she didn't respond to the invitation to crash on my new couch that I just don't even care anymore! *sniff*
