Any Korn fans here?

just listened to The sampler tracks (Liar, Eaten up inside, Throw me away and Twisted Transistor) for their new album and i have to say im impressed, very atmospheric feel to the songs and nice and heavy.

Ive been an utter Korn fan boy since the release of their self titled and have always swore that the first was the best, but, this new album has an element that ive been trying to find in music for a long time, dont know how best to describe it.... i suppose like a horror movie atmosphere feel... kind of like the queen of the damned soundtrack, but slightly different... well listen for yourself, you may like it :)

if anyone would like me to send them a song ill be happy to (as far as i know they it wouldnt be illegal and twisted transistor is available for streaming from their website)

call me weird, but i'm not big on the today's music. I'm in into Classic Gothic. Weird yah i know.

i would say exactly the same... but i would class korn as todays music.. they arnt exactly ancient but have been around a while ('94 or '95 if memory serves)

i do know what you mean though, there is alot of shit about these days.

I'm not a huge fan but that's due to the fact I remember them from their early days...just never got into em. Once they hit big none of their worked really grabbed me...but hey to each their own.

I mean hell I don't even like Metallica.

I like Korn...funnily enough I caught myself singing the 'nothing changes/just rearranges' bit from 'It's On!' earlier today. :) Lots of Korn haters about, but I couldn't give a toss what other people think!

I also like Metallica, but only their earlier stuff.... :(

only instead of directing toward The Man, they now aim it towards kids that try to download thier music.

gosh I sure am glad that I believed them when they said they'd never sell out the metal underground...

now, bear in mind that'd I'd never say they didn't deserve every penny of that money they've got for their pervious work...

...but I mean... damn, I can bearly tell them apart from U2 these days...

getting back to the thread :)

i realize that they aren't "metal" and that Jonathan might not be "genuinely angry enough to induce angst"... but i love the idea they had for the "Twisted Transistor" video and i can never get the chorus of "Got The Life" when I am running (i guess because of the consistent beat and kind of uptempo thing going on??)


bottom line... im not really a Korn fan, but I like some of their songs... and their performance on South Park :thumb:
