worlds worst dictator(semantics)?
a couple weeks ago the parade mag in the newspaper has a cover story about them and i was thinking
shouldn't they technically be called the worlds best dictators
ya know what i mean?
the worlds worst dictator would be for freedom and not do any dictating
i asked someone about it and they said it was like the worlds worst murderer and i said
"i'm the worlds worst murderer since i havent killed anybody"
the worlds best murderer probably killed over 1000 people
then he brought up freedom fighers do they fight freedom or fight for freedom and i said "hell if i know i know firefighers fight fires"
so it has me thinking what is the difference between the best dictator in the world or the worst dictator in the world
can anybody tell me where i'm going wrong?
Re: worlds worst dictator(semantics)?

well we all know how you feel politically but unfortunalty didn't seem to read my question
of course feel free to bash bush any time you want but i would
so if george bush is the worst dictator would that make kim jong ill the best
or vice versa?
if george bush was a dictator why would he allow such dissent
south park covered it best when they said that half the poeple want one thing the other wants the other and when one thing happens the other half protest
of course to me it looks like the people who protest dont have jobs and have nothing better to do anyway
but i love protesters it lets the government do stuff and the enemy cant blame the populus
of course when you have an evil enemy who doesnt mind blowing up their own mothers and children what can you do?
i bet there sure as heck isn't a happy group like us in any islamic or dictator controlled country
Re: worlds worst dictator(semantics)?
also where is the colon between bush and one
do you think it helps your position to fabricate weirdness
why dont you throw the pic with him holding the book upsidedown
or his head on the swat guy rescuing elian gonzales
Re: worlds worst dictator(semantics)?
I think you're confusing semantics with context. It sounds like the word worst is being used to indicate that among dictators (dictators being bad things) which is the worst of the bunch.
Not who's the best or worst at being a dictator.

Activist Cindy Sheehan Arrested at Capitol
Quote:
Sheehan, who was invited to attend the speech by Rep. Lynn Woolsey (news, bio, voting record), D-Calif., was charged with demonstrating in the Capitol building, said Capitol Police Sgt. Kimberly Schneider. The charge was later changed to unlawful conduct, Schneider said. Both charges are misdemeanors. Sheehan was taken in handcuffs from the Capitol to police headquarters a few blocks away.
hmm. so much for freedom.
1st Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

you have to copy the url without the quotes and paste it
even bush says he wants to be a dictator
Re: worlds worst dictator(semantics)?
as for shehan being arrested
i would not tolerate a demonstration at a movie theater or at a play and that is what is was a play
at that moment in time the capital building was checked out by bush
why not try to barge onto oprahs stage and claim free speech
she could have jsut worn a teeshirt with her grievences but she wanted to unfurl a bedsheet which would disturb other members of the audience (should every body be allowed to bring megaphones and airhorns and bedsheets and picket signs if they could then no one would be able to hear anyone and thus not enjoy "the play"
the left seem to think the right dont have brains but it looks to me like the left doesnt make sense
think mcfly think
Re: worlds worst dictator(semantics)?
doesn't make sense? the right really doesn't have any brains if they think the constitution is too complicated to understand. since they obviously aren't familiar with it, that's why I took the liberty to post some of it. as far as this particular incident goes, it really shows your journalistic prowess. I bet you could get a show on fox news. it's pretty easy to make "liberals" look like demons when you spout rhetoric and ignore any real facts.
sheehan was an invited guest so she had a right to be there. she also did not disrupt the speech in any way, she was arrested before the speech even started. she wasn't marching with a banner and a picket sign and a bullhorn, she simply wore a shirt bearing the number of the soldiers that have been killed in the Iraq war. another women, teh wife of a congressman, was also escorted out of the conference for wearing a shirt that said "support the troops." but I don't think charges were filed against her.

I Wish people would quit making fun of my name...
Richard Tater
Re: worlds worst dictator(semantics)?
come on it was the george bush show shouldnt he have the right to exclude someone from potentially appearing on camera during his play?
she had no "right" to be there she had the "privelage" which was revoked
and she is still free to speak her mind anywhere she wishes
but why should she be able to take advantage of george bush's airtime
i believe in freedom
i believe you should be able to do anything you want as long as you dont hurt someone who doesn't want to be damaged
everyone should have these rights even the president
