I like the diversity in the models, very nice work. Keep it up.
OMG Amelia & Forrest, who is the super-tall skinny boy with the full sleeves that is choking someone from Release the Bats in one piccy and squatting in the next?
He's uber-hot.
Great piccies, as always. The reason i started frequenting BlueBlood(dot)Net was due to the incredible quality photography of people that i have always thought are beautiful, but are overlooked or underrated by the mainstream.

Thank you so much. I need inspiration where I can get it. I'm trying to get some drawings together again.
Damn....... I'd almost consider moving to LA....... but I must endure at least 2 more years in Kansas until I graduate.
for those interested in details regarding shooting conditions, here is a funny picture someone snapped of me, with Amelia's head in the foreground. We're kinda tucked behind a pool table. Fog/smoke machines are a bitch to deal with sometimes, but we had a really excellent time. Oh my god, it was so fucking hot too! It's a lot better than going to the gym though! :cocktail:

Hahaha... and explaining poses when you are six feet from the DJ booth can be pretty tricky. It's a sign language all to it's self. :thumb:

I think we need one of those personal portable air conditioners to take with us on club location shoots.
What Model is that, and also, why does she seem miffed?
wow wow wow ForrestBlack and AmeliaG are my favorite photographers ever. Nobdy does better portraiture of our scene than they do. They make everyone look so amazing and their use of color has an almost painterly feel that really raises what they do to high art.
One thing that's been on my mind lately and I'd like to mention, given the opportunity, is that not everyone in a photo is a model. These are my friends. We take pictures of cool people. There was no such thing as an 'alt-model' back when we started. We enjoy documenting the beauty and excitement that exists in various cool subcultural scenes. These are not people done up by a stylist for some major label rock band looking for credibility. They are genuine cool people. I have a lot of respect for the work that goes into real modeling, and I've certainly had more than an earfull from real models that find themselves being put in the same league as random people in snapsots posted on the interweb. I'm not ranting at you Brightstar, I know you are sensitive, but more to the general public. A model's job is frequently to adapt their look and style and presentation as best they can to whatever the designer or photographer or art director instructs them to. It's hard work. But on the flip side, calling someone a model, just because they are in a picture, kind of implies that they may just be a poseur. That's something that isn't terribly cool to say about folks in the various scenes we appreciate.Quote:

Also keep in mind that this was a casual snapshot by someone I don't think I know.
Here is a shot that Amelia and I did moments later:

I think Jenn is beautiful even in her 'worst' snapshots/pics.
Your are quite the blueblood, ForrestBlack, very polite in how you write and your dictum. It just struck me and I thought it important to say so.
Well, thank you very much. :)Quote:

I love the way that you take pictures of cool people, friends ,etc, instead of those other sites where they have those specific Models. That makes your site better, since I find the types of Ladies that you photograph more attractive anyway. Awesome Work!
