Statistically it is said you are more likely to be able to stop a negative habit if you can stay away from the habit for 30 days or more. I guess I am not a statistic in this case. How do you stop what you consider your negative habits?

if I didn't like doing it it wouldn't be a habit so why would I want to stop?
same here....i dont know if its a bad habit or just rude.....im constantly scanning everywhere i can see and it gives me the look of paranoia and not listening to the person that is talkin to me......ive tried to break it but it never worked
You wouldn't. If you don't consider it a negative thing, it's not :p: and that's the point. I mean things you wish you didn't do that are bad for you , that you wish you could control better. An example if you smoked marijuana: smoking a 1/4 of weed a week versus and 1/8th... etc. Not what society considers/deems bad habits.Quote:

personal experiences with.
Hell, if I could only smoke
a 1/4 a week it would be
quite something... since I haven't
since junior high.
And now that the state is going to
allow me to legally grow and keep
on hand a 60 day personal supply...
without specification of just how much
a 60 day supply is...
them fucks don't know me very well.
Considering it's really my only vice left,
besides the cigarettes and sexual addiction,
and I could do without the cigs.... I'm much
better off than before... a auto wreck with me
ending up flying through the windscreen ended
my drinking days and 90 days of court ordered
medical rehab ending my cocaine abuse... as well
as 8 months in Amsterdam, smoking myself through
recovery from rehab... being that the 'treatment'
was just more narcotics... but 'legal' ones...
Gee... we don't want you to use cocaine anymore
so we'll 'treat' you with downers and anti-depressants,
trading one drug for another just wasn't want I
wanted to do... and I don't consider marijuana a drug,
being in the strictest sense of a drug is something
manufactured, altered, manipulated as well as man-
made... where as marijuana is a natural substance
that has been used for centuries in a medicinal
capacity.
~rant off~
Not to turn this into a debate or
anything of the sort... nor to go
off-topic... but it all boils down to
willpower in the end to quash a
bad habit, annoyance or personality
flaw.... unless it is truly a chemical
imbalance or otherwise a defect that
is untreatable.
Hemp,
I can guarantee you I can still out smoke you even with my sobriety.. period.Bring the bong... bring the dope, it's a showdown! You will be in Detroit soonish??They didn't call me lungs for nothing! I wonder why am I bothering to be sober? That's what this thread is about. You make good points. It was/is a personal triumph, for me. If you love smoking a lot of pot, more power to you. I enjoyed it myself. There's nothing really to debate. I drink once in a while. I loved coke... that's another story. We are probably pretty close in age and we have done it all. I am a non-smoker but all the weed smoking I did, probably did damage... oh well. What's the point in a having a pretty corpse? :p:

We hope to be in Detroit around
August or so... I'll bring the G13,
and really it's more about quality
than quantity... although I've smoked
out people until they vomit, I'd much
rather kick back and enjoy than
burn though Bics.
I have nothing against being sober,
if it works for you, that's great and
you have every reason to be proud
of it... what had started as being
recreational has turned into a medical
necessity for me... I'd much rather
smoke weed than be on the slew of
narcotics the docs had me on last
year.
And I do have to admit to a drink
on occasion as well as a bump
every once in a great while, but
in the vain of being a reminder of
what kind of evil could prevail if
I happen to take it back up in a
pattern of personal past history.
I take more of an issue with people
who say that smoking weed makes
you stupid or leads to other drugs...
considering I've smoked weed for
many, many years and still retain an
IQ over 188... and the fact that I did
many other drugs before weed...
it's all bullshit.
Look forward to meeting up with you
in Motown... get your smoker's callouses
ready :1orglaugh plus I make a killer Mean Green
Fettucini... best high you'll ever have. :thumb:
Speaking of Detroit I remembered
that I had this to show off.....
