Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
Well hello all, just thought I'll pop by and say hi and introjuice myslef before I got to bed> I've been working so hard on makeing my friends server work.
Anyhoo, yea. My names Daniel, I'm 18 and from Newcastle (North East of England) and yes I am a true Geordie, meaning to some, my slag as you wish to call it. I have been Gothic from the age of 14 because I never understood about Gothic and what it was and it's culture as some people like to call it. But my real dad has always been a hippy dude from the age of 14 and still is, it comes from his side of the family. Sadly I am the only Gothic dude in my family and, yes, the others are chavs, very sad yes but I'm glad I don't live with them anymore, I havn't since March last year. I live in my own flat, employed at the moment fixing computers ect basicly working with computers and stuff.
At the moment I am a admin on 4 servers and have full access to 1. There servers are for a online mod for a game called Half Life 2 (Best first person shooter of 2005, won many awards). The mods name is Garry's Mod (gmod.garry.tv). But lets not turn the chicks off by talking about games.
I went to see Scary Movie 4 on Thursday and was pretty fuuny, a must see for people. It's based on 5 movies from 2005-06. The Grudge *Sarah Michelle Gellar from Buffy*, War Of The Worlds *Tom Cruise we all know*, The Village *crap im asuming, aint seen it*, Brokeback Mountain again aint seen it, looks crap* and Saw I *Danny Glover also known from Lethal Weapon 1-2-3-4*. So over all a very good movie, maybe not as funny as the others, but still fun.
So yea I have a Gothic life style and love it, it is one of the most coolest cults/life style to be. I can do my own thing and I love to meet new people. If anyone here is from Newcastle or goes there sometimes, I used to and might go back to "The Green" as we like to call it, (Old Eldon Square) and meet new people and hang about in town for a while.
Well thats me and I didn't ses this anywere, but if I'm in the wrong section or whatever I'm sorry and please move me to the right place. Many sites have different forums/section for different things and subjects.
Well I'm off to bed guys, hope to talk to some of you dudes and chicks very soon, peace out and ROCK ON! :thumb:

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
if you ever go back to the green i will never respect you :| :D
good to see another Brit from the north east.
ive heard Scary movie 4 was terrible, not really heard anything good about it cept what you just said. any hoo, the whole culture thing will be lost on most people here, chavs for example (peeps check www.chavscum.co.uk).
Garrys mod is fairly cool. wasnt happy bout the $10 price tag being introduced but after the list of changes i figure its probably worth it.
stick around m8y, tis a friendly place with alot of diversity. enjoy ;)

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
well from what i've seen Chavs can best be described as what might be called "white trash" here in the states. It comes as no surpirse to me that the people who are undereducated and social misfits there are the one's that live in the slums under the poverty line. I find it pretty disgusting to see the way that you stereotype these people and make such derogatory expressions. I really would have expected more from someone on this board, being that many people here don't fit into the status qou and I'd like to think we pride ourselves on being open minded.

on most cases i would completely agree with you, this however no. Chavs is not a term solely for poor uneducated people. its a specific clique. the best way to describe it is to point you to www.chavscum.co.uk
call me close minded all you like, however my opinion on this will be hard to sway, chavs are a bane to society. if you were to ever encounter a chav you would understand. the fact that ive been hospitalised twice because I just so happened to be walking past a group doesnt give me even an ounce of respect for them.

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
??, what in the world does that mean? anyways, i dont know about all this chavs business (probably because i dont care much to know about england)... but anyway its nice to see a new face and someone else to talk to. hope you find out that there some touchy subjects really quick or you will have some people making you feel quite akward....with that being said, have fun!

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
Hi there Daniel. I saw you were from Newcastle and at first I thought you meant Newie in Australia, but alas, then I read on and found out otherwise.
Shame about the chavs, if they really are that bad, but all the same it's good to see a fresh face around these parts, so welcome here and hope to hear more from you in the not-too-distant future! :)

you'll find the abreviation actually refers to "council housed and violent" so yes it is largely a term for "poor uneducated people".
Laugh at it if you want, but take it for what it is.

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
Chav is a predominantly english term. Here on Scotland's west coast they're normally called Neds (Non-Educated Delinquents) or just Helly Hansen jacket wearing scumbags =)

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
from the way they're described on chavscum, they sound almost identical to the mall trash which makes up i'm guessing 96% of the population here in southern california (well, at least south of L.A.).

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.

your post is completely irrelevant.
You'll see i didn’t "ignore" the word violent i only left it in regular font.
For your amusement here is the word violent in bold font:
Violent.
My point is that this word, among other things, is a socio-political statement and that just because our darling wikipedia legitimizes the word doesn't change that at all.
In any case, i am not defending the behaviour of these so called CHAVS, just correcting your previous assertion.

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
If were talking about chavs. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and steals your mobile phone it's probably a chav.
No wait... I went wrong somewhere...
You know what I mean though.

is not true. "poor, uneducated, violent and antisocial" is however.
i dont refer to everyone who lives in council housing as a chav, only those that fit the profile of a chav.

Right, using your words.
what we are really talking about here are
1. Poor: in that they live in council estates &
2. Uneducated: in that they either can't afford to go to college or have chosen to practice a trade etc.
because violent and antisocial can apply to just about any piece of shit.
Now if you want to go and say that in your experience those people wearing tracksuits, driving honda civics while loudly pumping out the 'thump thump' of house music make you feel threatened because they have a tendency towards anti-social behaviour then fine.
You can even tell me that 'lower class' people in general are more likely to be ignorant and violent if thats how you feel.
But what I'm doing is calling you up on the fact that you refuse to call a spade a spade.

Re: Hello all at blueblood.net, you sexy people.
Just the one's that I post in?
I don't think the argument here is that violent scumbags are assholes, I more then agree with that and fuck em. the problem here is that I REALLY doubt that everyone who is labeled as such fits the pattern, and is based on acurate objective details. I feel that I can safely make this assumption because I have witnessed the way people are my entire life. For example, a person walking through (insert low income, poor edcuation, poor job market, poor housing ghetto here) may say: I know that most people here are rational and aren't going to rob and kill me, so I'm not worried. That would be the truth, but most people don't think that way. they think: some of these people are irrational and they want to rob and kill me, I don't know which ones they are, I'm not going to take the time to find out-- and that quickly turns into ALL of these people are insane, and even if they aren't, it's better to assume they are that way im safe. That seems to be the case here, if it wasn't then there would be no reason to make a seperate category to place such people into.

i see what your saying, and i cant really argue the point, the best way to understand it is to witness it, i cant say that by labeling someone a chav they have always fit the profile of a chav, but its very hard to mistake it :\
seems the new guy has been scared off anyhoo :(
