Honesty
Haven't you noticed tht honesty isn't validated much in these days. It's more and more seen as a stupity by most of the people surounding us. But there are people like family to whose we still try to be honest...
Did I just moved in wrong social circles since I moved or is this fucking world realy fucked up by dishonesty and dishonor?
How much people do you guys have besides family to whose you are fully honest?

Re: Honesty
I try to be forthright and honest all the time. Although, I've gotten burned plenty of times for trusting people I should'nt have.
-
Re: Honesty
No one is ever truly honest, because of pschyology, society, and other words that end with the sound "EE"
-
Re: Honesty
I knew a couple of guys who would lie for sport. They would go out and just lie to people for fun. I always thought that was totally rude.
I'm mean, I lie to my boss when I call in and I'm not really sick and for other dumb crap. So I guess it depends, but I don't for anything important.

Re: Honesty
my company runs on lies, they dont need too but they make more money that way, and I dont lie to the customers and always do the best job I can even if the customer is a sack of shit even though I know exactly what I can get away with and I could save myself hours every day and I literally spend those hours asking myself 'why the fuck am I being such an idiot'
I figure when I die I'll have an answer to wether honesty is of any consequence in this world

Re: Honesty
Im honest inevery thing i say and do ,Lying is just plain stupidity any more ..
If you cant be honest your lying to your self ..
and if lying was fuckin ,,yould be fucking your self ,why fuck your self ,and others around ya by lying ..
i hate friging peeps that lie bout this ,then have to make up stuff to cover that lie and so on,seen peeps do it to me .
If peeps would just be more honest with each other this world would deffinately be a better place ..

Re: Honesty
I think that if everyone in the world was completely honest for one week the world would be completely different and maybe not in a good way
-
Re: Honesty
honesty just isn't a survival characteristic any more.
if you try to be honest, some less reputable scum-bag will undercut you and leave you feeling moral, but looking like a sap.
all of this just makes me think we are WAY overdue for a film about Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser. it'd be a good antidote for all that noble crap we saw in LOTR.

Re: Honesty
I don't know what honesty is worth anymore. I value it and being an honest person definitely is not popular these days. Some people I have dealt with disappointed me with their lies but that's part of life. It takes time to get over it. You can chose to try to be honest though. It's hard to understand why these people lie, maybe their nature. I try not to take it too personal. I have deliberately kept the truth about particular things from people because I felt it was none of their business... not sure if that counts. Personal call I guess but a lie is a lie.

Re: Honesty
I've known people who lie about absolutely every single thing. They can't even bare to tell the truth about anything. I never could understand it, and standing next to them it was painfully obvious their lives would be short lived.
I do my best to tell the truth all the time but it doesn't always work. My parents sort of gave me this lying defensive reflex. When I don't tell the truth it's usually not to decieve but rather I simply can't always say what I really mean. It's not intentional and I always feel bad after.
mmmcherry is the most honest person that I know. I swear I've never heard her lie even once. Honesty is what I love about her the most.

Re: Honesty
i hate being lied too, specially about stupid shit that wouldnt matter anynway. I am usually a very honest person, I try to spare peoples feelings though, so I tend to sugar coat stuff. If I found a 100 dollar bill on the ground I would check to see if someone dropped it. If I couldnt find anyone or noone was around, id donate at least half of it...I dont think most people nowadays would do the same.

Re: Honesty

Re: Honesty
that rocks anarky... i dunno ANYONE nowadays that wouldnt at least think about keeping the money and just dumping the wallet in a mailbox or something.
but yeah... lying about even little things, its just retarded... eventually it could turn around on you and turn into a huge thing and then youd be fucked completely, so why bother? theres just no point i think.
-
Re: Honesty
When you ask, expect or demand honesty from people your just asking to be dissapointed.
-
Re: Honesty
BTW Anarky i know damn well me selfish materialistic ass would have kept that money, and cuz you didnt, your a good person for it.

Re: Honesty
i wanst raised like that is all i can say

Re: Honesty
I'm also a firm believer that promises a person makes should be kept no matter what. That's why I hardly ever make them, because a promise must be kept no matter what is standing in your way.

Re: Honesty
I am really very honest in relationships with men, certainly more than they are with me. I did lie the other day about drinking sodas and fruit juice from the excutive kitchen I clean 5 days a week. I won't drink their excutive juices anymore since one of the hispanic people I work with told on me so they would not get blame. They mop the floor of the executive kitchen. Beleive me the excutives do not go it the excutive kitchen ever. All is forgiven here. lets move on. I did my confession. Forgive me.

Re: Honesty
Really honesty in this day is look upon as a bad thing. Hell telling the truth can even land you in jail worse than a lie.
-
Re: Honesty
Honesty is very rarely rewarded by society. It all boils down to your own morals. Ive been lied to so many times its not funny anymore, one recently that has just crushed me after the person who lied finally fessed up the truth. I trusted him, now Im not sure trust can be a part of me anymore.

Re: Honesty
im sorry to hear that Jax ,,ya i hate when some ones lie's just fyck up everthing
even to the point ya just cant trust most people any more..
ive been lied to in relationships, and it messes up the trust factor.alot
like every thing tho takes time for people to earn trust again.
