Films of the week

*It's odd but when I say I rarely... almost never watch television, I get the feeling no one truly believes me. I have been at other forums in the past and people make remarks implying I am full of shit. They think you can't buy what you want to watch on a Dvd or something? Apparently, tv is a big part of their daily regimen and they can't fathom everyone else not being like they are. Very close-minded way to be. I mentioned that I liked Fawlty Towers and then a Moderator said in a post: "I thought you don't watch tv?" Trying to make me look like I was lying and slipped up... no. I informed him that I own the box set... people are fucking morons. Apparently, he took my saying I don't watch television as a direct insult or my trying to seem superior , not the case at all. I just don't identify with much that has been on television in the past. I know it's gotten worse. It's just a personal choice. *end of rant.

I only view DVD's, sometimes VHS, some of the movies are rare and haven't been released on Dvd yet. I don't have a television hooked up to cable by choice. I watch at least 3-4 a week. Please post some of the movies that you watch as time goes by. I'd be interested to see what some of you have been watching. :p: These are this weeks picks so far.

The film I have seen so far this week that is the best was 'Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels' .It has only been about the 4th or 5th time I've watched it and I'm not sure why , I can't put my finger on the why or special moment just that it is enjoyable.

i have netflix, so i get movies every other day..currently returned Walk the line which was pretty good..and just got Final Fantasy: Advent Children.

I copy and burn all my netflix dvds for those times i cant afford them :P

Advent Children was pretty good.

The last movie I watched I think was Running Scared. I *really* liked it.

I hardly watch TV anymore, unless it's IFC or late night anime. I usually just rent movies.

Well I sarted out the day with Ice Pirates, Atomic Age Vampire, then Fung Fu Hustle

I don't watch alot of movies or TV. I'm usually always online. I watch maybe 1-3 hours of tv a day and like 3 movies a month if that.

"Ice Pirates"! I haven't seen that in years. Damn, that movie was wonderful.

I hightly recommend the HBO TV Movie that marks my Premere in really, really bad C-rate TV Movies. Rent Peril Woot! Shamless Self promotion for an extra role!!!

Well today was one of my 3-4 movies for the month. I just watched "The Machinist" and holy FUCK what a fucking trip it was.

That was a very bizarre film. Have you seen "Session 9" by the same director/writer Brad Anderson? It's one of my favorites. I recommend it.

My significant other and I have a nice collection of masks. Kroenen being a favorite of mine. Dr. Decker from Nightbreed is my all -time favorite though. Here's a picture of him donning it and a few more from our collection.

last movie I saw was bloodrayne. I bought it cus I like the game alot but was so dissapointed with it that I didnt even finish it. i should have figured, it was directed by uwe boll, the same foreign deuche bag who butchered a movie version of house of the dead and made that shitty ass horrorflick alone in the dark.

This mask was 1 of only 10 that Chuck Jarman created. It was made exactly as shown, came with hat and pendant choker, there were no other versions.

i don't watch all that much tv either. my roomies and i haven't gotten the cable hooked up yet, but i could care less.

man, now that i'm back from my mini-vacation i'm gonna have to raid my fiancee's movie collection, he has soooo many good old horror movies..... i actually just finished watching murders in the rue morgue with bela lugosi. not bad at all.

just got all 3 LOTR ,guess what im doing tommorrow

I just started watching hellboy. It's actually a lot more decent then I portrayed it, and the concept is great. I love the idea of giant demon space aliens a million light years away waiting to be awakened and devour the earth. I watching it with the commentary on and it really surpised me how much detail was put into the movie. it's really subtle and I missed most of it the first couple times of seeing it.

also that kronen guy really is fucking cool. come on, I know that you cosplay fanatics could whip one up. but you might want to go with the modern incarnation, I think that the public might not be too sympathetic in your aim when they see you walking down the street in a gas mask and nazi uniform.
