Okay right as I go to bartending school THIS happens.
Essentially, because bartenders recieve tips, even though its a minimum wage job, I could get a three dollar pay cut, to UNDER min. wage. Fuck that dude, people who recieve tips, work for them, people dont HAVE to give tips..argh!
and all the gods, fart on my life again...
In Los Angeles, bartenders get taxed on guesstimated tips based on register sales, so, if someone buys a bottle of something expensive and stiffs the bartender on a tip, the bartender actually loses money.
wow.. and there havent been any bartender strikes yet??

Yep... really it's nothing new to me
when I used to tend bar in Detroit..
it was $2.32 an hour...but then again
minimum wage was $3.35 and I was
still bringing home $500 a week..
plus another $1000+ *on the side*
with my independent pharmaceutical
sales and such.
Almost miss the bad ol' days,
getting a little misty eyed....
just don't miss doing time in
Jackson, Ionia or up in Hiawatha.
