I've seen that at the club X leather realm at pride it is awesome. I didn't think I'd ever want to try it till I saw it in person. For those who don't know, the idea is that your body gets high on it's own dopamine (the hormone your body produces when it's in pain). Your body produces way more dopamine than you need when nerves (like the ones that you have lots of in your skin) are over stimulated (like when you experience pain from flogging or piercing and tugging on the piercings). That's why some people are addicted to piercings/tatoos/etc.
it's just that the heat on the brain and lack of anything else to do here inspires people to find creative uses of thier body. but hey, don't get me wrong, i'm all for it. it is a hell of a lot cooler than just sitting around getting wasted like everyone else does.
