la la la la elmos world...
So Kaden has recently began waking up and turning on sesame st.
its one of the few shows he watches all the way through..
I think its funny because I totally loved sesame st. when I was little, I remember waking up to it every morning and eating breakfast while I watch.
Are there any shows that you loved when you were little? Are they still around?

Urban legends
Fred Rogers has been the subject of a few urban legends, among them, ideas that he served in the military around the era of the Vietnam war; was a sniper; was a Navy Seal; or had a drug problem. Rumors to this effect are discounted as false on urban legend verification websites[1]. Not only is military service not mentioned in any biographies about him, but there wasn't a period of time, unaccounted for, where he could have been involved in such. During most of the Vietnam conflict, he was fully dedicated to his television show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and before that, around the start of Vietnam, he was working on getting rights for his show and moving it to Pittsburgh.

Re: la la la la elmos world...
We all got a little sesame street groing up, and it was good.
But, some where in the back of my mind there are a few other shows I remember. Did I love them? I really can't say, it's all like a hazy, glitter covered dream these days.

Re: la la la la elmos world...
I still watch Elmo. Some people don't seem to get it when I turn to Amelia and express that Dorothy wants to ask somebody else...

i liked ren and stimpy and when i got a little older Beavis and butt-head, I wish they would have released all of the Beavis and Butt-Head episodes on DVD, but at least they released a whole lot of them.

Re: la la la la elmos world...
My daughter, Athena, loves Elmo. Her 2nd birthday was this bast Saturday and my mom bought her a talking Elmo that can be programmed to say her name and and a bunch of other stuff. We watch Elmo DVDs together all the time. Originaly I didn't like him all that much. But since I sat and watched Elmo's Adventures in Grouchland with my kid, I decided he's not so bad. And anything with Mandy Patinkin in it is awesome anyway.
When I was a kid, I watched several shows. Most of them I don't remember the names of. Most likely because they didn't last. Sesame Street, Captain Kangaroo, Secret City (when I was older), The Muppet Show, and Mr. Rogers. I also remember a show that had people dressed up like they were fairies and they sang songs. I have no idea what it was called. Oh yeah there was a whole host of Hana Barbera cartoons that I watched. The Hurkuloids (I think thats the name) was my favorite. I also watched Land of the Lost pretty religiously. They should remake that series. It would be so cool now with todays technology. And as I got older I watched He-Man and The Masters of The Universe everyday, along with Voltron, Robotech, and that sort.
