It's not much, but It's the first step.
Well, I've been ranting on getting out of my parents house since I was 13 and finally I have taken the first few steps to do it.
My friend Alana is getting her trailor(yay for white trash, oh well, I live in one right now anyway), moved in, in November. She offered for me to live with her.
I thought about just moving out & not telling my parents. But I love my mother too much to do that to her so instead I've mentioned it to my parents & we discussed it, so when I finish up all my crap for High School (which should be in May) and get a vehicle (where I live I will need one)that I can move out & live with her. She only lives ten minutes away from where I am now, but still, I will be out of this house. Then in the fall I would be starting College so yep. I just have to survive this for about 8 more months I think.
So finally, I am getting out. If all goes as planned I will be out by April or May. Like I said, its not much but its the first step. :)

First steps are always the hardest to take
Re: It's not much, but It's the first step.
YOu know, when I finally moved away from home, that was when my parents became friends,i t was really nice to see them in a different light. To see them as people and not my parents.. that was the best part about moving out
Re: It's not much, but It's the first step.
I moved out wiht out telling my mom, just one day stopped comming home regularly. A week later I went to my parents house and got most of my stuff out.
It was heaven!
Congratulations, honey. Freedom is worth the wait.

a lot can happen in eight months though

Yeah and I am keeping that in mind. But still, If everything DOES go as planned, it will be nice.
If not, I will be leaving eventually for college so eh.
