(AP) ST. ALBANS, VT. A high school student found a used needle and syringe by the side of a road and jabbed eight fellow students over two days, police and school officials said.
Jabbed students at Bellows Free Academy were urged to be vaccinated immediately against hepatitis B. The incidents also posed a lower risk of hepatitis C and HIV, but those diseases would not be expected to show in tests for months.
The student who wielded the needle threw it away, officials said. Police have not been able to recover it and don't know whether it was infected, said police officer Frank McCarty.
A 16-year-old student at the public school will be charged with eight counts of assault, police said. The attacks were reported Thursday and Friday, they said.
"He just walked up and stabbed me with a needle and said, 'You now have hepatitis,"' said student Ava Staples. "I'm pretty nervous." She said she planned to get a blood test.
The school will discipline the student, said district Superintendent Marilyn Grunewald.

oi what a fuckin tard! hes worse than those dorks that go around randomly punching people in the arm. (even on school days where kids got needles... those were horrible) at least punching someone in the arm cant give them hepatitis or something... i hope he got beat up real bad.

i hope they wait to charge him until after all the test results come back. if anyone ends up catching anything from that needle i hope they seriously throw the boook at him. that is just not kool. id love to see him get more that just assault.

well, he is being charged with assult, which is seperate from whatever 'discipline' the school's going to give him.
so, considering his age, what he did, etc. he could go away to a very adult prison for 'awhile' where his very underage ass just might get 'injected' with hep's A through C, and other less savory viral gifts...
however, crap like that got you expelled back in the day...

hell i was suspended for a week becasue my hat pin came out of my hat and some one sitting next to me got poked with it (this was halloween, i went as a sorceress with hte hat pin holding my tiara in). it fucked up my entire school year. and it was an ACCIDENT.
this guy deserves way more. i hope the meat injectiosn he's gonna get in prison leave him thinking aobut how he fucked up for the rest of his life.
