What nicknames do people call you?

I was just curious as to what people call you guys. I am known as Johno (because my father is called John and it was an easy way to distinguish us in my early years, and it just stuck), but I think I earned the nickname "One Sick Puppy" a long time ago, due to my tendancy to do things that will shock people.:eeek:

I lived up that name in a small pub in Whitby this weekend, when a girl from Liverpool bet me she had sicker things on her mobile phone than me. Needless to say, for the rest of the weekend, everytime she saw me, she'd say to her partner "Hey, look. Here comes One Sick Puppy!" before joining us for a drink and chat.:1orglaugh

I'm "K" or "The Bitch". "The Wierd Chick" kinda stuck after high school too.

People have called me "Jesus", and "Metal Jesus".

I used to be called "Chancie" haha..well actually theres a small group of my friends that still do.

I'm usually referred to as Albino or Viking by my friends because I am very pale and am Norwegian.

I was 'Sparks' right through school due to a healthy interest in the humorous uses of black powder. These days most folks call me 'Doc'.. which is legally unrelated to any prescription substances they may or may not be enquiring about. Hardly anyone uses my real name these days (a good thing, I neer thought it fitted me) - so to extend BSD's question, do you prefer your nickname or your legal one?

I prefer my nickname, because I chose it.

When I was 14, I joined Darkon, a full contact foam fighting game a little like Dagorhir, and they asked me to choose a "battle name". The first thing that popped into my head was "Inox", which was written on the blade of the little black switchblade that I used to carry (it's a designation for a type of steel).

A lot of the people in Darkon went to the same clubs and bars and cons that I later found myself attending, and they knew me as Inox, so that's how I was introduced...and it just kept going.

Some cultures couple a coming of age ritual with being given an adult name, and I think that the new identity construct which that represents is helpful in the individuation process. So, yes, I definitely prefer my chosen name.

oh please call me K. the only ppl that call me by my given name want money from me. I'll answer to my stage names/ nicknames before I answer to the name my mom gave me.

Interesting note - i didn't have a name for my first three days on earth. My "dad's" parents wouldn't let my mom call me Sara Jane Smith after the assisstant from Dr Who. They also wouldn't let her call me Rachel Lauren (thank gods). The one I ended up with was my mom only agreed to becasue she was gonna call me Stevie (yes after ms Nicks). but my grandparents wouldn't let her call me that either, afraid calling me by a boys name would make me a Dyke. *shakes head* Silly grandparents. They were only half wrong. :D

but yeah in high school one of my nicknames was stevie, actually, cause i used to have an obsession with steven tyler from aerosmith... hehe... yeah hes a sexy bitch.

In school they used to call me "white legs" or "whitey" and "plastic Jenny"...
