SCA Event, Crown Lyst.

Not sure if many people in here are a part of the SCA, but I find it relvent since it promotes alotta cool things.

I mean, just this weekend I learned the rudiments of brewing cheap beer(and got to taste some absinthe :D), how to tie a square knot,the differences between metal and boiled leather armor, comissioned someone to sew me a cloak, fought in battles, watches a turnament were the winner became the future King/Queen and watched a man become Knighted by the King and Queen of Trimaris. I love the sca :D

Don't call em foam bats around any sca'ers thems ground for a mutiny lol.

They're made from solid wood, and hurt alot (hence all the armor) I love it :D

i was in the sca for a bit, fun party, but not quite the level of re-enactment I was hoping for

I was kinda sad they had no grappling myself, but its the only org i've seen that can field 10 thousand people for those epic pennsic battles.

yeah, they are the largest private army in the world

and those pennsic events...you need like at least a week to recover

I will be going ot events hopefully next summer.. But I won't be able to make to pennsic unitl the youngest is about 12... it takes money to have that much fun.,..

I can deff. see taking a week to recover from Pennsic. I only fought that one day at the Lyst and ended up sleeping a good 12 hours that night lol.

lol yup, I just started a few months ago. Met Duke Mittian online and started doing heavy weapons/armoring. Its alotta fun I must say :D

i'm an archery nerd, the only problem at pennsic is all the archery stuff was so friggin early in the morning and after sampling various camps special drinks i seriously wasn't able to see properly till about 3 in the aftenoon
