Have The East Coasters Arrived?
Since I see a lot of the West Coast types posting, and a few scattered folks elsewhere, I'm wondering how many members of the peanut gallery are on the East Coast. According to the profile info on your posts, Blue Blood's newest model Kellie's out this way (Atlanta) and Lady Indira is in PA somewhere, but I want to hear from all of you East Coasters (as well as Indira and Kellie)! Here's another perfect opportunity for folks to de-lurk, once you've introduced yourselves in the main introduction thread or your own introduction thread! If y'all live on the East Coast and have your ears on (to paraphrase Jerry Reed in the epic "Smokey And The Bandit" series), drop a line here!
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?
I'm still an East Coaster at heart. Does that count?
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?

Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?
Well, Soton City(Southampton) is on the coast of England, and from America's point of view, England is to the east, so... ~L~

Hey, I don't even know where my Coach Editions cover for my snapshot camera is.
It was a little too big to fit in my DKNY handbag.
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?

Yo, yo, represent!
I'd rep in absentia, but I don't know where my bullet necklace is. The chain broke when I moved to LA. And, yes, I do know that my life is a symbolist novel.
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?

If I can't count as East Coast, I don't think you can either.
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?
Ah: Georgia's got coastline.

I am from south carolina, and currently still reside in florida.

At least you got out of SC. We used to drive through there a few times a year, and everytime we stopped at the taco bell we'd try to kidnap the drive-thru chick. It was sort of like human puppy rescue.

The hottie with the jail tats? Not sure that was exactly 100% altruism, although she did seem to want to come with . . .

I miss the East Coast, but I don't miss the East Coast.
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?
I dont know if it is true or not, but supposedly New England is the best part of the East Coast...but what I saw of Vermont, and Connecticut was really cool.

I went to Boston and almost got hit by some truck. And some parts of the Northeast are entirely too conservative (like Rochester, NY). But I would definitely party it up in NYC.

What is Syracuse like? Since I have some friends there that I am trying to get to eventually.
Re: Have The East Coasters Arrived?
Anywhere within one hour of Rochester is probably an excruciatingly boring, conservative, pro-Bush, mainstream, McDonald's type of place. There is next to no night life. If you are going to find a place where people will "frown" on you for being subcultural, this is one of them.* You'd be happier in a big city.
*I may be wrong. But in 16 years of living there, I haven't heard of one town in upstate NY that is as welcoming, exciting, and open-minded as, say, LA, NYC or SF.
