Help! I Need A New Job!

I want to relocate from San Diego to Los Angeles. I need a job though :-) I have been asking everyone I know, so I am hoping you can help me! Someone, anyone?

I am super good at photoshop, everything from basic retouching to creating images from different layers so the final product is nothing like the origonal.

I can build sets, and have 2 years experience doing that from start to finish.

I know Final Cut (video editing) and although I only have a year experience at that I am pretty proficient.

I have been doing make-up artistry for 3 years.

Any leads would be so so helpful, my current job is driving me mad! I went from doing all of the above things to editing porn. This has just come about in the last 3 weeks, my boss's girlfriend wants to be a porn star so he shoots video of her with other guys and I have to edit it. I am so miserable. I have to get out!!!

And Scar, there will be a lot more graphic design and editing jobs in LA, than in SD, so you shouldn't have a problem finding something. That's why I moved from SD to LA a long time ago. There is very little work down there compared to LA.

yeah I figure. I am actually from there, and most my circle of friends is up there too. I just have a wide range of talents instead of one specialty like most college graduating citizens...... I saw a lot of potential work, so I am not worried, I just would feel more comfortable having an 'in' somewhere, you know?

A lot of these places will hire people to do photoshop work.
Mosty grunt work, not design work, unless you have a really amazing portfolio.

As far as video stuff, I only know places that do really boring corporate video, event videos, etc... And I know a couple people who do porn stuff. But it sounds like you don't want to edit porn! Haha!

When I first started video editing, before I had to do it for school, I would edit porn to practice, haha.
