I found my dad! after 17 years of searching and heartache I found my dad! *dances!* I spent 1 1/2 hrs on the phone with him and killed my cell phone. But I found him! *cries* Flying up to Ohio in July for a family reunion with that half of my family.

well i know that lol. but i figured he'd ask at somepoint about what you do or used to do. My dad did when he called me out of the blue a month ago. I havent spoken to him in about 8-9 years

Great news - and best wishes for how it all pans out. It's going to be bumpy of course, but take it slow and allow everyone to grow into the new idea at their own pace.

So, how'd you find him?
got my gestation vat (the female version of the derogatory "sperm donor" snub) to give me his SSN on account of the fact that i had a few ppl that shared his name and birth month on a interweb search thing but a few of them were dead, needed the numbers to know either way. She coughed them up wiht hardly a hassle. spent $15 and got a full adress/phone# report and a 24 hr pass to the site and got his sisters info and his mom's info too.

Sounds like the best way to have a kid. Don't have to deal with the akward years but get to enjoy the cool grown up ones.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't even try to find someone I hadn't met yet. Mostly just long lost jr high/ high school friends. So then you can remind yourself why you lost them in the first place.Quote:
