Auditions for some student films (one is mine)

This is a casting call for 3 Berkeley City College Video Projects that are currently in pre-production. Those cast will receive copy and credit.

La Promanade du Pigeon. - a black & white french mockumentary in industrial oakland.

The Funeral Scene -a child's drama in a negligent family scene.

{untitled} a street scene where a girl pick-pockets a guy and ultimatley beats him up.

Here are the roles for The Funeral Scene.

ROSA (60+)
Terribly emotional, a woman of God. Confides only in her faith. Scared for anyone not cared for.

LORETTA (60+)
Also a woman of God. She's happy with a child or anything showing innocence.
Raw and pure in showing her mourning.

FLICK (27-30)
Raised with the silver spoon. Learned to worry about everything.
He is insecure, Defensive, and over analytical.

MERCEDES (40-55)
Mercedes is a lush. She resorts to her martini's and large amounts of jewelry in cases of tragedy.
She wears high heels, and a tight vested suit. Her hair is a dirty-golden colored tumble weed patch.

MANUEL (40-55)
Manuel is a strict and militant person. Never shows emotion. He gives nothing to the attention of children when he's in a state of business or disciplining. Wears a dark suit that is an extension of his commanding presence.

GERARD (27-30)
Lazy, but kind. Gives empty promises and words of flattery to those who ask anything of him.

BARBARA (25-30)
Tries to be nice, but she often confuses kindness with stupidity.

SAVANNAH (30-40)
Dry in humor, Cold in condolences, she is attentive in everyone's fashion sense versus their feelings.

The untitled scene needs the following roles filled.

CECILIA - A rather striking woman in her early 30's. Smaller than average height. Atheltic build. Martial arts, stage combat or dance training a plus.

STEVE - A tall thin man in his mid 40's.

These auditions will be video taped. And will be used by the director and crew to determine the cast.
