But Gwen, Christina Aguilara usually is not the type of music I am into.. but i can't help but get wiggly in the pants area... When their vidoes are on.
I guess that is what I get for watching VH-1 in the morning.
No. Firstly, Christa has had a sammich, and she is looking quite good. Not to mention the sound on her newest album is refreshingly retro.
Secondly, Gwen is always cute, Pink is always fuckable, and Amy Winehouse is teh most roxors thing to come out of the mainstream this year. She's bad, shes tattooed, and utterly gropeable.
Don't feel bad. However, you'll prolly have to deny all these proclivities later, to retain your cool with all the "Nothing Popular is Good" Poser Goths.

Oh yes..atleast someone understands. I would do dirty things to Snoop any day of the week.
I think part of being "Goth" is being diverse in taste, being open minded. If we all liked exactly the same things/people/etc. it wouldn't make for very good conversation.
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
ive always liked xtina even when she was orange
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
The clothes that Cristina is wearing at the moment in her vids are Muy, Muy, Muy caliente! very different, and isn’t that what goth is all about? Being different?
As for fergie- dude, its just porn, your supposed to feel arousal!

Did my comment get deleted? or did I just forget to hit the button to post it?
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
Just saw the video for "Alfie" by Lily Allen...
WOW, There is nothing hotter than a woman in the kitchen... Laying on the florr, and playing with a puppet.
Especially since she was wearing a polka-dot dress.... In the kitchen.... on the floor.... get where I am going with this
I want a Sammich!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
Lily Allen is hot, I like it when she swears.
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
I like Lily Allen's little accent in her songs. Never seen her perform. You dig what u dig. U don't dig what u don't dig. Who gives a fuck? I had a lot of fun getting folks to admit to "cheesy stuff " (which it really isn't in most cases) Consider it all deathrock? It all will be in the end. The tunes you like will still rock after the musicians are dead.:1orglaugh :thumb:

Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
Don't worry BC, UnGothe is something only poseurs worry about. I think you'll be fine.
I personally would do nasty things to every girl on that list...ex Fergie. Something about her make me think of a public school lunchroom dumpster.
But yeah, Christina...yummy. And Gwen's legs just don't quit.

Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
But Scarlett,
Aren't we all posers in one way or another.. I mean seriously.. IS that even a worry anymore
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
Hence why I gave up on the whole "goth" / "alt" thing. Looking "normal" by having few or no tattoos or piercings seems to be more unusual or alternative nowadays anyway. The music is good, the aesthetic has its merits but I'm way too smiley and positive to be as gloomy as a "goth" is supposed to be. And besides, being a NON CONFORMIST means not giving a damn what the hell any one else thinks any way. Positive Futurism beats Gloomy Anachronism any day as far as I'm concerned. I won't judge you BC, as long as you don't judge me. Fair?

Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
My family wasn't surprised when I "went goth", its not that I am all that gloomy, its just that I... am. Saying that all goths are gloomy is like saying that all gay males are like Carson, and that’s definitely NOT true!
Also, I am working my way towards a degree in musicology, one of the international studies atm is a theory called "sonic emotional pathways". These emotional pathways shape (in theory) what music we like due to what we have been exposed to in childhood- not necessarily music alone but all sorts of sounds, that inspire certain emotions (eg: joy, sadness... ect). Its possible that the above music might have something in it that reminds you of something on a subconscious level, something that makes you happy.
Me, i like singers with an irish accent but i find they make me homesick- i think its because my family are irish, makes me miss my grandma.
Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
I don't judge individuals... Only large groups of people.. LOL
As they say... " You have a deal, my dear, and you can take it to the bank."

The comment was not aimed at individuals who have a personality all their own, sugar. It was a comment, albeit poorly worded, on how the people that TRY to be goth, ie got their defining personality traits out of a magazine or at the mall, would claim that wearing a pink blouse and blue jeans is "so not goth". The same way thinking a pop icon like Christina Aguilera is hot, is "not goth" because she's a Pop Star. I meant no offense to you or anyone on this board. I have, in one form or another, been a member of this board for going on four years now and I know most of the regular posters quite well, and in knowing them, know that there isn't one person on this board that is all about the gloom and doom and "alas poor us for we are misunderstood artistes with old souls and a desire to be vampires" (though I know a few would NOT kick said vampire out of our beds :p: ) Scarily, some of the nicest, most positive, intelligent, well adjusted people I know post here regularly. That's what really makes them different from the poseurs, the mindless masses and well, even each other. I'm sorry if you, or any one else, felt that I was making a broad stereotype about the subculture and the people in it that fall under the label of "Goth". I did not mean to offend.

Re: Am I becoming un-Goth?
Oh, there are a lot of happy Goth's out there and I've met several. Nixon at SG, for example (who on certain days beats the pants off of Rachel Ray in perkiness). Yes, there are those that are moody and surrounded by drama (most of which they create themselves), but the gloomy Goth is a subsection of Goth much like the Victorian Goth or the cyber Goth.
