Pure Positivity! The Radio Station!

I had this idea this morning as I was sitting in traffic on the way to meet my mom for breakfast. You see the day started out like this: I was woken up 4 times before my alarm in this order:
-boyfriends alarm goes off 3 times
-dogs scurry to try and go pee outside before their bladders give out
-boyfriend changes bedding WHILE I AM SLEEPING so he can take dirty sheets to laundry (at 7:45 am)
-mom calls 4 times in a row to wake me cause she has time to go eat breakfat together

So yeah, my mood was less than perky. Then I turn on the radio, and that song from Metallica's Black Album 'never cared for what they....something something.....' was playing. I changed the station, Depeche Mode.... that 'only 16, whole life ahead of her song'. NOT what you need to hear when you are pissed off :-)

Then I had this brilliant idea to start a radio station called PURE POSITIVITY, in which different DJ type people would give inspirational talks and play music that cheers you up. The inspirational talks wouldn't be so upbeat that they made you angry, but rather sarcastic and entertaining stories about frusterating life experiences that we can all relate to delivered in a way that makes us crack a smile. The music as well, would not be too upbeat, cause that can really irritate a person when they are feeling glum, but rather music that you can get into and enjoy while puting negative toughts to the back of your mind.

I think it's a grand idea! The whole city- no the whole WORLD- would be better off if we just had a simple way to ease into the day with PURE POSITIVITY!!!

I am happy cause my hair is purple.

I am happy cause I get to see my friend whose visiting from Hawaii tonight

I am happy cause my job doesn't suck like it did in San Diego

yeah, i had an idea like that a few years ago... i wanted to do a radio show where i only reported on cool stuff that was making the world a much better place to live...

usually i listen to Pacifica radio which is a left of center radio network, and reports on all the horrible, horrible, horrible shit that goes down in this country, and around the world. i had to give up listening to their morning news - Democracy Now! because it was just a depressing way to start the day... yeah i was better informed...but i was better informed about how i was getting fucked over everyday. -and i do think it's important to know about this stuff, but it can be corrosive to the psyche at the same time.

the other alternatives, don't inspire much confidence either.

morning show DJ's seem to be a special breed of annoying... "HAHAHA Welcome to the Morning Zoo, where we fling our pooh!! HAHAHAHA!!!"
and corprate news, and NPR are equally depressing in their propagandistic ways.

...so yeah, i think your radio station sounds awesomely un-gothic, and i'd probably listen...

...does Ozzy count as uplifting music?

okay, now, let's see here... uh...

i am happy that Scar's hair is purple (she looks good in purple)

i am happy that my kung fu grip is still bad ass

i am happy that i just got paid

i am happy that i'll have some money left over from my pay check once i pay my bills (yes, happy, this makes me happy... i'll make it make me happy)

i am happy i can sleep in till 3p today

i am happy that my life is so damn interesting to me

i am happy that i live in NYC, and not San Diego

i am happy that i have so many good books to read

i am happy that i have so many fun dreams

i am happy that i can eat today

Ok,so,why am I happy today..
I am happy because my daughter is healthy and is a really bright,sweet and funny little pickle (My nickname for her)
I am happy because I may be able to start a piercing apprenticeship very soon and that is a life long dream of mine
I am happy because my husband and I are getting along really well lately and everyday I am reminded how lucky I am to have him
I am happy because my younger cousin Aaron and his room mate Greg,who is also a good friend of mine,are having a car smashing party this Sat. and I'm invited
I am happy cause I've decided to get a triangle piercing and I have total confidence in the piercer who I've chosen to do it for me
I am SO happy that I just got my very first car,I drive everywhere,for any reason
I am happy because my favorite aunt and my younger cousin Amanda just told me they are coming up for a visit in July
I am happy about the trip to Atlanta I am planning for this summer
I am happy because my husband is finally taking the initiative to enroll at the community college
I am happy because all the people I love are healthy and safe right now

I am happy that my view of life hasn't changed in 20 years
I am happy that I have a job I like
I am happy I have a company vehical
I am happy that natural disasters still happen
I am happy that the cat likes me
I am happy that I have just about every tool I'll need
I ma happy I learn't when to stop trying to figure it out
I ma happy it's supposed to be nice weather on the weekend
I am happy the OC got cancelled and I don't have to watch it anymore

well that was fun

I'm having a rough day but the following makes me happy:

I fixed my blog feed (for syndication) with absolutely no help.
I got an email from someone I really admire.
I have very tasty pu erh.
I got flirted with by the cutest little boy ever.

I am happy because:

1. My AmStaff pup, Managarm, survived his Parvo ordeal and has recovered beautifully and quickly. Back to the annoying slobbering, jaws of life on speed. And that Inu didnt get it.

2. I had a fantastic honeymoon.

3. I am getting a new tatt tomorrow.

4. I should be getting my leg work started this month, and my corset piercings sometime this month or early next month.

5. My exclusive tatt artist / piercist is teh sexeh. She pokes me good. XP And taught me to poke others.

6. The house is looking pretty damn clean.

7. I'll hopefully get some new photo sets done this month and next so that I can apply to a few sites.

8. I am also happy for Scar's purple hair! Its sexy.

9. I'm happy that I will HOPEFULLY get my hair dyed... finally. (and hoping it turns out right.)

10. I'm happy I have a house full of healthy, obnoxious animals.

2. I'm excited about moving to Minneapolis
3. I'm happy to have secured a place with my own separate work studio (its huge!)
4. Life is great. I will be happier when the post-school migraine leaves.
5. I'm always happy to have the company of my 2 beautiful one eyed cats
6. I'm gonna be an Uncle in July!
7. Most of all: I'm happy to have complete control of my own projects henceforth.
