Learning Something New Today

Today I am starting training to do ribbon acrobatics. I am super excited cause I have been wanting to learn it since I first saw Jade Blue Eclipse perform at Forret and Amelia's Swag Magazine release party in 2003. About 6 months ago I met a girl who actually teaches this performance art and am so excited that today will be my first class! I actually went to her place recently and did manage to climb up the ribbon a few times. I discovered that the next day my body ached from head to toe, yessir, every muscle. Hopefully this means that in no time flat I'll be in superb shape :-) Whee!

oh no that's not me! That's someone who IS bendy! I just took my first class though, man am I gonna be in pain tomorrow! I even went upside down, in a similar pose to that :-) Oh circus circus here I come!

Noooo - don't run away to the circus - you've seen Sideshow Bob haven't you? All those years on the road.. all those nights not quite being Siefried.. all the confined gene pool issues from sharing a bus with five juggling brothers from North Virginia... Stick to carnivals where the opportunities for crime are better.

Talk ribbon acts and someone's got to mention Pink, and I guess it had better be me. You'll find it easier than her though, as you've less.. well there's just less.

I've always wanted to learn how to do that. It mesmorizes me to watch someone who's totally fluid in that art.
