I ended up at a castle this weekend.....

Yessir, an actual castle. It was soooo surreal!

There was a moat, and a drawbridge, and coy fish (sp??). There was a bridge that lead to the second tower, where the moody brother lived. There was a cave, armor, a spiral staircase, an a dying Rottweiler that must've lived there since the beginning of time! It was so amazing! I guess it was built in the 70's buy some artist guy and he left it to his kids when he died last month from cancer. There was a pagoda that looked out over the observatory and the Hollywood sign was so close that it felt like it was in the yard.

One of the reasons I love LA is because you can spend your whole life here and still discover new places, such as the Hollywood Castle, that you never heard about before! I have had the forture of experiencing this a few times since I moved back 2 months ago. Another cool place I was shown recntly is the Edison, an underground bar in downtown LA that's decorated like the 1920's and plays the Dead Kennedy's.
