The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l
Summer approaches. It happens every year yet somehow I hope that it'll be LESS hot this time around, and although it never is if we have a mild spring I am actually fooled into thinking that perhaps the heat will not be so overbearing that I lay myself up in bed with misery.......
On a brighter note, every summer a lot of cool new people pour into LA on vacation and I get to meet them. There's usually a bunch of fun events as well, and Burning Man, some concerts etc.....
So far my summer plans are as follows:
- Visit my grandma in Spokane, Washington
- Visit my lover man's mom in Conneticut
- Visit my older brother and his new wife (the Sheriff's daughter) in Boone County, Kentucky
- Go to Burning Man yay!!
- Work out more
- Avoid getting a tan
What're you looking forward to????????????????????????????

Re: The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l
I think I'm flattered to be compared with such a sharp and pretty young lady, but I can say that I'm not Keiko, I'm Scarlett Sin.

Re: The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l
From what I'm told, it's summer here, though you wouldn't think it, unless you were expecting an "English Summer" (see League of Extraordinary Gentlemen)
Re: The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l

Re: The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l
Sunset fuckin' junction! It is at the end of the Summer, a ton of fun and right in my hood! I have been able to see some fuckin' incredible acts for free. Every year! Perfect way to put an end to the Summer in LA.
Re: The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l
As the years go by I find myself enjoying the heat more and more.
Re: The heat... oh the miserable heat.....l
Sitting in my house wasting away with TV and the internet in the nice cool AC. Chicago gets disgusting during summer.

Well, down south it is. Trust me when I say,
Quote:
"If my house is flooded, expect Kevin Costner to come swimming past!"
since my place is 15 storeys up. If I get a flooded home, everone else is SCREWED!
But since I live in the North of England (That's the bit between Manchester and Scotland. Look for Hadrians Wall!), we haven't had flooding up here. It only seems to be the soft southerners drinking their warm shandy and eating crustless sandwiches that aren't used to a little bit of rain. You just watch, in 2 months they'll have hosepipe bans, and be asking for the North of England to transport some of our water to the drought-ridden South!:1orglaugh

I cant get a break down here, every summer its 95+ degrees, but this summer its been raining non stop for the past 3 weeks with no signs of it stopping any time soon. I hate the heat but at least it doesnt ruin plans.
Dont get me started on the humidity...
