If U had to Spend 3K FAST
So: Looks like I'll clear over 3K from what I call the "skank domains". I am literally spending the cash b4 it even posts haha. I want it all gone by 7/1. It just doesn't feel right keeping (although the whole gig was unitentional)
So Far:
New Digital Cam
Trip home to see my nephew
Everything I need to renovate my place.
Hodgepodge of clothes and other goodies
What would u buy if u *had* to just unload this decent (albeit not major) amount of dough on general principle?
I'm also looking for advice on: Camcorder - Which DVD+R is best in terms of quality and memory (and can u also put music, photos etc on some)
Comp music gear (which is best in terms of mixing etc)?
Any ironic suggestions in particular will be posted.
What would *u* get? Just stream of conscious this puppy as if u are simultaneously 2-clicking new toys.

Groovin. Do u do a lot of audio/visual/graphic design stuff? I only recently found out Macs are becoming the standard even in schools. I almost got one last time. I have an '07 Monster Dell already though. Next time. Thanks though.

As far as what i would buy...
A Nord/Korg/Roland synth and a synth drum set. Pretty much that would take up the 3G and thensome.

Theres expansion packs that can be loaded in Nexus. Theres tuba and trumpet sounds in it. I just dont use those in the songs i write. :cool:

I take that back..i did use trumpets in a song.
It's the chorus synth that starts at 2 Minutes.
It doesnt sound much like a trumpet, because I put some delay and tweaked it a bit to give a more industrial sound. Worked to my advantage.

Yes. I'm currently filming a documentary and going to school to get an AA in Digital Video Editing (my BFA in acting/directing gets me nothing). Not to mention I'm shooting all the still images for my documentary, as well, so I'm also learning Photoshop.

btw u should upload stuff to last.fm. Scrobbling is actually decent networking. I've found some cool shit I never possibly would have heard of. U get some listens, get it tagged to some genres and you'll get listeners. Hell, I'll loop it if u want.

Toys'R'Us :thumb: Thanks. That reminds me I need to start loading up on the children's books and toys. I'm going to send my nephew audio files of me reading even. My Grandpa read to us from an early age. I think its very important to get a kid hearing stories and good music from an early age.:thumb:

Yes. Since my documentary is about people who work within the realm of Goth/dark erotica I need still images to show over the interviews to bullet point comments being made. I'm about half done with the interviews, but I need a ton more pictures/models to shoot.

Aside from having a shitload of dental work I would probably make HK make Cunty Beast (my computer) better stronger and sexier. Boots and a pinup shoot thing with Justice Howard. And some travel.

I was going to say art supplies, but then I read Nudemuse's dental work answer and thought it was pretty good. Realistically, I'd spend it on art supplies. I always spend it on art supplies of one sort or another.

besides music stores (both instruments and cds/vinyls) , my second fav place is bookstores followed by hobby/art stores. I cant draw worth shit, but I enjoy making silly things out of fun stuff :cool:

I've had some serious dental work done over the last 2 years. I'm hoping to keep it in check for awhile. It's really expensive. If any of you guys go in, don't let them make u panic. Get just what you need to insure that you could conceivably fix any other teeth later. Ask a lot of questions before paying for a procedure.

I love old bookstores. Ther fun of the chase. You can find anything online, but hunting stuff down is more fun.

Thanks. :) I'm so excited. He's due in the next week or so. I get a goofy grin thinking about it. I think its the perfect family role for me. I want him to have a full childhood and know his eccentricities (which he will likely have in this family:1orglaugh ) are ok. Reading to kids is a really good thing. It may not seem like they "get it", but my memories of my Grandpa are still vivid.

I think that is such a scam.
OH and an added thing I'd spend money on is a lengthy trip down the West Coast to see all my friends who live south of me. Starting in Portland and ending in SD.

Take a close look at the X-Rays they do. Unless u see some major recession of the gum lines, don't go for it. You should hit Highway 1 for part of the drive. Amazing views of the ocean. (If you get carsick take some dramamine and demand to drive though hehe)

OMG YEAH my dentist told me that i should get my teeth whitened... im like BUDDY i just told you i can barely afford to get done what im getting done today!!! FUCKIN HELL!!!
and he had to inject the novocaine three seperate times... ughhhh... it just wouldnt freeze me all the way, it sucked so bad. it was a tooth right in front, an old filling was falling out :( hurty big time.
