I don't know if I should be mad or happy so I'm just irritated.

Good news: I got fired from Borders.
Bad news: I'm now unemployed.

I won't go into how I was fired because I wasn't getting enough people to sign up for the Borders Rewards program, though I feel it's more about the fact that I was not liked by most of the managment staff since I would usually air my opinion about things.

Anyhow, if anyone knows of any film/TV production jobs or video editing jobs or photo assistant jobs in the San Francisco Bay Area, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could send that info my way.

Oh well, it'll give me a chance to hone my Photoshop skills. Actually, I need to aquire Photoshop skills before I can hone them.

Well, sorry to hear it went that way, but yeah, sometimes these things can really be just what you needed to transition into something new and rewarding.

I'd be happy were I you. It will allow (and even force) you to work on the stuff you love. Fuck Borders.

PS CS3 is worth getting into, as each time Adobe drop an edition there's a bump in employment as people want artists able to exploit the thing they just forked out a gazillion bucks for, and once you have that in your bag it's just a small jump to setting up a website, taking pics of nekkid alt-styled people, whoring your soul to CCBill and...

Mindgames - I have been thinking of getting the Prodcution Suite of CS3, but I'd like to call Adobe and see if I can get a better upgrade price than the one they have listed. The one I seem to be currently eligible for is if I own only Photoshop CS, but I also own After Effects 6.5, Illustrator CS and Flash MX. And you weren't the only one that suggested the nekkid alt-styled people thing. ;)
