What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
WHAT'RE SOME CLICHE'S/ HYPOCRICIES YOU HATE HEARING?
I'd like to take your photo but I can't offer you and money. However, it'll be great exposure, plus it'll be published in a book I'm working on.
Never ever ever true. Potentially, we could all be working on a book. This is an annoying way photographers seduce amateur models into posing for them and not being compensated with anything but promises. Plus if it'd be good exposure they wouldn't be begging you for favors, you'd be begging them.
I'm a professional photographer, I shoot nudes, but don't worry, it's art, not porn.
IF you consider nudity to be porn then nudity is porn. IF you think you are better than someone for labeling your nude photos art then you should keep it to yourself, cause by implying that you are above porn is an insult to me (if you are trying to shoot me, anyhow) as I clearly partake in such activities. IF your work is smut then it is smut, if it is tasteful then your photos will speak for themselves.
I am against doing drugs..... but I drink.
All this really says is that you allow the government to determine what is right and wrong for you based on the legality of a certain substance. Anyone who thinks alcohol is not a drug is fooling themselves so they can be self righteous about being a drug user. If you're above drugs, be above polluting your body with mind altering substances, don't be a hypocrite.

Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
#1. Not to be insulting but.... then some remark about your appearance, clothing, line of work etc. Generally heard from someone you don't know very well, didn't ask for their 2 cents to begin with and ALWAYS insulting.
#2. That band or group is so "old", uh so is a lot of David Bowie, Billie Holiday, Etta James and BB King but you will certainly hear them on my ITunes all the time. Sometimes trying to be cool and listening to the "newest" stuff in music and bragging about it just gets really annoying. Everything will be old soon enough.
#3. I believe in Jesus & go to church every Sunday, but... I do nothing but gossip, engage in gluttonous activities on a consistent basis, never volunteer to help the less fortunate in society, sit & complain about everything in my over indulgent life. Oh & play the lottery, which is gambling.

Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
You're sexist
~ I hear that a lot from idiotic feminazis who assume that because I have a penis I must be a chauvanistic scumsucking pig. Sure, our society is still rife with discrimination and prejudice but you dont help the problem by becoming prejudiced yourself.
You're racist
~ nowhere near as common as the first (although very common in some places) is when a black person assumes white people are racist.
I don't like that band because they are mainstream
~ is that the ONLY reason you don't like them? If it is, then you are an idiot. You are trying to be 'non-conformist' by letting other people choose what you do and dont like. Clap clap, moron. Sadly this one gets thrown around a lot, so anytime i hear it I give the person a real grilling. "So what dont you like about the music?" "Well, they were hardcore when nobody knew about them. Now they're all on the radio and pulling big gigs. Fuckers sold out." "Holy shit, you mean they were willing to accept money so that now they can get the instruments, equipment and producing they need to get the sound they are aiming for as well as the publicity to bring their passion for their art and the message they carry to a wider audience, while earning enough to retire from regular work and live the life they love? How dare they..."
Of course, that isn't the case for those who don't like mainstream music because it is (almost) all mindless mass-produced over-processed vomit-inducing pulp, just the ones who think "y'know, I wanna be punk. I know! I'll get a pink 'hawk and start listening to the music that nobody likes." But then I just hate people that try to be alt-culture...

that i can understand... but then again i hate when bands become TOO mainstream and the radios play their songs over and over again like once an hour... that gets really fuckin old.
-
Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
yeah, i agree. but thats when you hate a song because its been overplayed and your sick of it, not because of the fact that it is mainstream. my beef is when it becomes 'bad' because its mainstream, not when mainstream actually makes it bad :P
-
Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
ahh yeah i guess heh... i never understood that though either, when people dont like it just because its mainstream, or a certain type of music... i dont care what it is, if it sounds good to me ill fully admit that i like it haha... i listen to a little bit of everything from devildriver to sean paul and 50 cent!
*hides*
-
Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
sean paul? 50 cent? eeeew!
<I musnt let any of them know I like Eminem...>
erm, i mean, YOU ARE SICK!

Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
"You want to have your cake and eat it too." - Hi, I don't subscribe to your prole dichotomies, and my life isn't illogical simply because of the prejudices you hold. Eat an entire bag of zebra dicks, and then burst into flame after, fucker.

Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
lol what was the question... WHAT'RE SOME CLICHE'S oh right ty
well this one tics me off.... always has always will.... don't know why people can't just be honest...
hey... we can just be friends right.... get the fuk outta here... i'd have more respect for a woman if she told me the truth like.. well buddy you stand a chance... if u were the last male.. i was drugged and drunk.. and passed out.. then maybe
that i can respect... woman.. point of view from a male

I'm with ya there I hate the whole I dont do drugs but drink.
Those are some of the most judgemental hypocritical ppl ever.
Thats an interesting take on the whole porn and art deal.
I'd never thought of it that way before... but it makes sense.
Isnt it nice for someone to take you serious as an artist rather than OMG I just wanna drool over you and fuck you?
and have the art be the most pertainant focus, even though your images evoke such thoughts of passionate abandon?

I recycle the garbage I make in my 3000 square foot house thats part of a huge suburb development built over a wildlife corridor because I care about the enviroment

Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
Not sure I agree with the whole drugs vs alcohol thing. Most forms of drugs are somewhat harmful to an end to a person. Alcohol in moderation is not harmful to a person unless they are an alcoholic. Weed isn't really harmful and I hang around people who do drugs but no I'm not touching it myself because I like to not be spaced out. I drink, I have never been drunk.
I also don't break laws even if don't believe in them. So when I was 18 and could drink but came to america and the drinking age was 21 i waited till i was 21 even though it think it's damn stupid. So until they make weed legal i'm not touching it.

Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
im a vegetarian but i eat fish/chicken.
it lives therefore its meat, you are not a vegetarian you are a fussy meat eater
-
Re: What're Some Cliche's/ Hypocricies You Hate Hearing?
its weird but for some reason the 'cultural' definition of vegetarian is somebody that doesnt eat red meat. if somebody says "im a vegetarian" then most people will assume they can still eat fish 'n' fowl.
does anyone have any idea why that is? was there like a period i missed when it was fashionable not to eat to eat cow, but nobody gave a damn about the humble halibut? im beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, people are stupid.

Just maybe.:thumb: The only diet that would accurately reflect is macrobiotics. Even there, it is generally limited to fish due to certain oils considered vital to human health. Some vegetarians may still use milk and eggs. Thus the term veganism for those who avoid eatiing any animal products.
It is extremely difficult to truly avoid all products with an adverse effect on animals. You're better off just hanging the most egregious abusers, like Mike Vick, from the nearest tree. People relate to the visible abuse of animals on a more visceral level. Then, they may eventually start drawing the connections.

GAh don;t use the HSUS as a source find something more creidble there are plenty of sources not shitty HSUS is not a humane society but a ARA group like PeTA. Even worse because they run NO shelters because they claim to have BETTER uses for their money.

It has been in all major news outlets for days now. http://www.ajc.com/services/content/...svc=7&cxcat=21 . http://www.examiner.com/a-816677~Fed...?cid=sec-promo
If you could point out specific statements made in the HSUS article you consider inaccurate and document your other claims with statements from HSUS indicating what they finance, I'd be happy to discuss those matters with you. I've never personally been a member of HSUS as I do not believe they are an effective advocacy group. Beyond that, I do not see any facts in dispute here. Vick is issuing apologies already. The only question remaining is his personal culpability. His claim seems to be that he was not present during the more egregious incidents.

Here is a copy of the actual indictment:
http://www.hsus.org/web-files/PDF/an...indictment.pdf
I assume you will not claim HSUS posted an altered federal indictment.

How very fucking judgemental of you.:thumb:
I figured that the fact that I drink but dont do drugs was a matter of my personal preferences. Similar to how I drink coke and pepsi, but hate root beer and orange soda. Or that I like alot of Sushi, but think California rolls taste bland as hell.
That and the fact that I use only two herbs for spiritual purposes, Belladonna and Thornapple. Which are not fun. Simply feel no desire to use recreational drugs, and tend to have negative reactions to simple over the counter crap and thus feel no need to push my luck.
Apparently though, its because I'm judgemental.
My favorite cliche:
"insert type of individual / group here" are so judgemental! "Insert other hypocritical judgemental tripe here*.
