Forrest Black and I did a What's in your purse? feature at one point. It is always interesting what things people feel they can not be without for a night on the town.
Some things generally on me are: keys, milk digestion pills, pens, business cards, cell phone, tampons, snapshot camera, and ID.
How about you?
ID, tampons, pen, lipstick, money, smokes, fire, keys if HK doesn't have them, lipstick, pressed powder. That's usually the bare minimum of what I carry.
phone, chapstick, ID, d20, pocket first aid kit (esp if i'm taking Rob with me), compact, pen, handkerchief and lately a comb (no keys since I don't drive). That's the bare minimum. Usually I carry this sack that Rob calls my "diaper bag for childless moms", I've got everything from keys to shampoo in the damned thing.

oh yeah, and books. if I'm gone for more than a day, I will usually take about six books, decide that is way to much and narrow it down to three or four.

That's about it, really.
Wallet, with ID, cash, debit card, and many other cards, keys, cigarettes or tobacco pipe with tobacco, lighter and contact lens eye drops and case.
That's generally about it, though I also like to bring along a newspaper or book, if I'm going on the bus for any extended period of time.
Zune and headphones, pack of wides, zippo, keys, knife, wallet with assort crap and cash(or lack of) phone
Ipod, ID, Cellphone, 'Scripts, Smokes, and some other nifty stuff.
