Sick and tired of every time I try and click on "New Posts" I get redirected to Sony Pictures.
Leave the fucking banner ad where it is, don't grow it so it just HAPPENS to absorb the click it knows I'm about to make.

Uhm, 30 Days of Night and BlueBlood.com memberships etc. allow us to maintain BlueBlood.net available for everyone to enjoy for free. If you don't mouse over the top banners, they won't open. No one is obligated to spend any dough to hang out here, but I would appreciate it if we could all remember what makes this possible. Thanks.
I understand that, and but for that tactic of theirs, I would have gone to see it because of the fact that they do fund you guys.
However, a banner ad that grows to cover the screen when you go to access site content, that's messed up. I am not going anywhere near the actual banner ad, but every 2nd attempt at clicking on "new posts" gets me over to the Sony Pictures site.
I'm not having that problem on my comp. It rolls over only if I actually mouse over it. Seems to be ok html wise etc.

Hm... maybe a problem on my side, then.
I shall go see it then. GOT THAT, SONY? THANKS FOR SUPPORTING TEH SITE.
Nah, it does that for me as well. Both on my computer, using Firefox, and my mom's using Explorer. Ironincally on this thread, too.
Do you guys enter it's sort of airspace at all, even by accident? I have to actually touch the banner spot for it to sort of avalanche out.
Nope. It can happen if I creep up underneath just to get to "New Posts". The avalanche flows down to go "PSYCH! HA! YOU WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE DON'T YOU!"
It's not that big of a deal for me. The first two times, I may have very well zipped over it. Though, I'm unsure about the instance that just happened. I'll be more attentive with the mouse.
May be due to screen size. The set-up is sound. If someone hit say "Community" but the mouse also hit the banner, it will rollover. You have to be sure not to hit the banner at all.

Update your browsers?
No problems for me. I can mouse over it, it grows, mouse away, it shrinks.
Yeah I can do that as well. I think folks are just hitting the banner and the site links without noticing it.Quote:

when I hear that a horror movie has things jumping out at you my first thought isn't pop-up ads.
all I really have to say is that sony is throwing down cash so that we can talk shit about thier movies. haha. suckers.
Nah, there is no need to click things you are not interested in. If you see one that catches your eye and looks like checking out, then by all means. Some of the sites have some kind of cool stuff, and some of the movies look more appealing to my tastes than others, but that's how it should be.Quote:

But, if the general consensus I'm getting here is correct, it just means that am going to have to be a bit more careful where I point my mouse(Y'know, there's a bad joke or two potentially in that last phrase. But, I'll let someone else discover what that potential might be).
Okey-Doke.
Oh, and for the record, I probably won't be going to see this particular flick, even if the ad didn't roll over.
Just not my cup of tea, so to speak.
I'll probably give it a shot. Like the great vampire flick, Near Dark, I'm for anything that de-goths bloodsuckers. I'm just sick to death of vampire books and movies that stink of Anne Rice.
i dont think ill go see it main because I couldnt really get into the comic book its based from...ive never been a big vampire fan anyway and could think fo a dozen better horror comic movies that could be made instead...one being biteclub(vertigo)
