Or any other type, for that matter?
Fruit bats seem to be a lot easier to give food to though.

Fruit bats are illegal to own as pets in the states. Other bats you just have to keep an eye out for....

Why am I not surprised that Keiko would know this . . .
Becuase I'm a weird girl who wants to keep marsupials as pets so why not bats? :p No actually the reason I know is because we had a bat problem where we lived in St. Cloud. The damned thing took up under the eves of our house, unfortunatly right across from a neighbor's window. She flipped out one night, he called animal control and the next day I was the only one there to try and explain and get the run down of bat protocol. In any case if you really want a bat get an orange tree and some lightning bugs. Works everytime.Quote:

LOL :1orglaugh . OPddly I can get you orange trees but not lightning bugs. In FL thy have this big truck that sprays mosquito killer in the air to keep the huge bug popultaion down. Kills the Mosquitos and the Lightning bugs. Doesn't do a thing for the GodDamned Love bugs but kills off the Mosquitos and Lightning bugs.Quote:

Some sort of protected species or something like that. Not sure if we're being protected from them or if they're be protected from us, but in any case I'm under the impression that they make terrible pets. I mean Not only do they sleep durring normal wakeing hrs, but they're not necessarily easy to domesticate and they flit off at all hrs of the night with no consideration for any one but themselves. Selfish beasties.Quote:
