Howdy guys.
My 18th birthday is in 2 days, and while I don't necessarily want to get approved for a credit card then, I do want to know more about them...
Other than a low interest rate, what should I be looking for in a card, or does it really depend on person to person?

Whatever you do..make a small purchase if you get one. Then immediately pay it off. It helps your credit score. Then don't use it again for a while.
Worse thing anyone could do is get a credit card young and be late on their bills. Its all down hill from there!
yes always pay off the balance when you get the statement
dont sit on a statement till the end of the month put in a check and mail it promptly
i like credit cards they allow me to buy things through the day and not come home with a pocket full of coins
of course "the man" can track you and shut you down if they want so keep a bit of cash on hand
knowing that the man can freeze accounts sure doesnt inspire confidence in the banking system
but a matress full of cash is stupid
get a card from a real company like visa or mc, and get it through your bank
OR if they wont give you one... theyll fuckin give creditcards to cats but not to perfectly human people that just want a credit card... BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CREDIT!! and to get credit? YOU NEED A CREDIT CARD!! hahaa... explain that one...
anyways. none of that makes sense, but if they dont give you one, you can always get a prepaid credit card from like money mart or some shit. i dont think itll build your credit or anything ,but theyre really handy, especially for buying stuff online.
and no bills in the mail :D
