It didn't actually work, but I had a telemarketer flirt with me to try to get me to donate to the charity he was pushing.
They were sending stuffed bears out to people's homes, they cost $52 each, and if you bought it, not only did you donate to the charity, but you got reeled in for every fucking thing they ever pushed.
Anyway this guy chatted to me about his ex girlfriend and how it went sour, "that's 2 years of my life down the drain.... anyway do you have a boyfriend?"
When I became really incredulous and said I did have a boyfriend, he said "Well imagine, when he's not there, and since I'm not, you'll need to cuddle up to SOMEone... that's where the bear comes in!"
