I watched Sweeny Todd in drama class my sophomore year, and immediately fell in love with it. When I found out a while back that Burton was doing a remake, I swooned. When I found out Johnny Depp was playing Sweeny Todd, I went : squee : . Literally, I said : squee : That's how happy I was. I am ecstatic that this has happened and cannot WAIT to see it!

I just saw it last night!!!! Very good... I'm not a huge fan of musicals but it worked out pretty well. Depp looks wonderful as per usual and let me tell you the amount of blood in that movies is rediculous, of course I like excessive blood heh, and it works. The movie adds a fair bit of comical-horror in certain scenes which was quite enjoyable. I hope everyone enjoys this movie as much as I did.
Going to see the movie either tomorrow or sometime this weekend. It will give me something to do and it should cheer me up.
Not a fan of musicals, and to be honest, I'm on the fairly ignorant side of the theater fence. But with the cast (helena bonham carter is so damn delicious), the story and the gore, this should be the feel good holiday hit of the holiday.
