oh yeah, PS: hey biker punk, I'm making chicken piccata with linguine and italian squash for dinner tonight.... already got my capers soaking....

And congratulations. I tried giving up sugar once... oh my, chicken piccata? You had me at "linguine"...
and it could not have come out more perfect. I wish I had a little (like 2 tbsp) chardonnay to deglaze the pan with, but alas, I do not...... but it is REALLY tasty.... 1 point short of perfection.
*hugs* congrats sugar! here's hoping you stick with it. gee, it seems everyone is quitting something this year. my German pen pal quit drinking, Voltaire quit smoking...

Smoking... Quiting would be ultimate test of discipline for me, that's how it feels.
As for chicken I finally learned how to prepare chicken the right way (redneck chicken) from a hillbilly neighbor of mine. First you warm it on ~150 Celsius for a hour - hour and half, depending on what type of chicken you're making. And then you finish it on 225-250 Celsius in half hour. If you wrap it in metal foil before oven you'll get a juicy chicken with all juices kept in. I prefer dry one anyway.

Congrats Voltaire! I'm on my last pack (actually half pack) b4 I stop for a while. I did stop for 7 years, but started up again a few years ago.

My hat is off to you. I quit many years ago, I was a pack a day smoker & I realized how much I spent on it. That made me quit for the most part, I still smoked when drinking etc but then moved the SoCal where they don't do that so I finally quit for good. It can be hard but you should be so proud!
