How do you like your meat?

Up until recently I've always prefered my meat well done, that's because I never really tried it anything less. However once I did I understood that all these years I've been eating steak the wrong way. lol

So my question is how do you like your meat? well done? rare? medium? raw?

Also if you have any specific reasons why you like it that way and not another please include them in you response.

I like it so rare that a good vet could save it.

rare to medium-rare, smothered in garlic and its own weight of fresh-ground pepper.

By meat i assume you mean beef, cause there are not a lot of fans of rare chicken out there. :thumb:

I was raised on rare meat. With the exception of preground hamburger, f-ing bloody was how I enjoyed it. However, a trip to a quality steakhouse brought me a well done steak that was juicy and delicious. The kind of meat makes a difference as well. I think raw beef usually has a texture I enjoy more, but certain cuts just lack the flavor.

So, depends on the cut, mood, and dish, but I lean strongly towards rare.

very very very rare; or if i'm at a vietnamese place I like it sliced super thin and raw.

The longer the meat is cooked, on the lo/med setting the more tender it is.
