Crate information

My husband wants to buy this. I am not intrested in elitest reasons for not buying it..though I do understand those, I want facts if anyone has them ..like why it was only made for a year. Is there anything wrong with it electrical or structurally? Does it work well? Is the sound quailty it channels decent? Hahah I dont even know if thats a real question for this machine but you get the idea so please
