I have wavy ass hair that people perm to get it to look like it. But thanks to the mohawk last November, the hair had to start from shaven clean.
I'm going for Nathan Explosion, but I'm getting to the "Murderface" stage soon and I'm looking at every pair of scissors with intent.

Would getting it relaxed help?

seriously, biotin rocks for hair growth, and helps the skin also. but be warned, ALL hair grows, and your nails will need cutting every cople of days (every day in my case)
the hardeest part is getting over that stage when your hair is long enough to reach down and poke your eyes but not long enough to pull back
you could just do a kumi and wig it

I have a giant head, which makes hat wearing make me look worse. Headscarves, too, I tried em the last time. That resulted in headshaving.
Tried growing my hair long too. Got to just above my shoulders and I started losing my mind. Was like a reverse headband as far as sweating goes. I'll stick to right in between short/medium from now on : )
