I like soccer, hate soccer games

I think manufacturers of soccer games should hang it up.

I bought FIFA 08, which looks awesome, but is an unplayable piece of shit, like every other soccer game ever written.

DEAR AI DESIGNERS: Professional soccer players do not run from the ball and/or scatter when someone is running at the goal. One does not get millions of pounds a year for wandering aimlessly away when someone is trying to strike at the goal. You've figured out how to make YOUR players crowd around any attacking players like flies on shit - give the PLAYER the same courtesy. Otherwise it's an exercise in frustration watching goal after goal after goal rack up against yourself, while you can't get within 40yds of the opposing goal.

DEAR PLAYER DESIGNERS: If the opposing team member is within 5' of your player, that player loses the ball. If you manage to overlay YOUR player onto the CPU player, even with any kind of button push, the player's player just fucking stands there and makes no attempt to take the ball. It stands to fucking reason that if the player has the skill to get his man practically FUCKING the other striker, MAKE HIM AT LEAST TAKE THE BALL 50% OF THE TIME.

DEAR GAME DESIGNERS: "Amateur" mode means "player is a retard who's still learning the 50,000,000 control sequences, so GO EASY ON HIM." It does not mean "play so well that the 85+ pensioner's Suffolk Wednesday team beats MAN U" and pretend player's AI controlled teammates have Down's Syndrome."

In short, FIFA 08 is like FIFA 97 is like every other soccer game - frustrating and boring, overcomplicated with zero action potential.

Never liked those soccer games. Hockey is my thing if it's about sport games.

But I know lot's of soccer fans tend to chose evolution soccer pro over the fifa. Try that one.
I still remember when fifa 95 came out, such a thrill back then :D

im not really a fan of soccer myself but im pretty sure the evolution soccer game got better reviews. it seems like most sports games have alot of issues like BP stated...

have you ever watched the show "xplay" on the g4 channel? its a good show on video games and they are usually pretty accurate on game reviews.

i dont really understand video games that you can go do in real life mainly sports games

now blasting asteroids or gunning down cops thats something you cant do in real life

I find all forms of "soccer" are absolute shite! That's virtual and actual. Not a fan of the game in any way, shape or form.

Strangely enough, no. They were probably scared of his shirts and his size. He got a better offer to run Forbidden Planet Scotland!

I tried one of the Fifa Games, and haven't even tried to play one since then, because they are boring, among other things.

Basically, soccer games are the worst games every made in my opinion because they can't really entertain the player in really anyway.

Sport Video games defeats the sport they are portraying, get out and play the game...

I have came across soccer about 2 year really got interested. Ruby is a little puzzling, but it looks fun,,,

I like soccer.
I like soccer games.
I hate soccer moms.

I have this sudden vision of a BB team.

well, one, its a sports game from EA.... enough said

two, go play winning eleven or pro evolution or whatever the fuck its called now, its way better.

and for those who say "go out and play it for real", well its not that easy, its pretty hard to get a group of friends together to play much of anything, with work and all. Its damn near impossible.
