Re: Whitby Goth Weekend April 2008
I love Whitby Goth Weekend! Been going for about 5 years now and it just keeps getting better.
Unfortunately our daughter was too young to leave with grandparents for us to stay for the weekend this time so we could only go down for the day on Saturday. We still had a great day though. We dressed the bairn up in a misfits rompersuit and a black woolen cardigan so the whole family was dressed for the occasion. It's an amazing sight to see an entire town full of goths/punks/metalheads/etc.
We love it there so much, I proposed to my partner there and we will probably hold the wedding there too. :)
Re: Whitby Goth Weekend April 2008
We got married there almost 8 years ago, it's a wonderful place. It was a wonderful weekend, and the organiser of the Sexy Sunday and Manic Monday nights is holding a "Sexy Solstice" weekend at the end of June, which I'll be at.
Most of the pictures I took were at the Leisure Centre, as that's where my friends ahd their stall. My wife does have some pictures from Sexy Sunday and Manic Monday (I was dressed as a member of the Spanish Inquisition). Slut Nurse and his partner won first prize as he was dressed as Eros (painted gold and only a cloud to hide his dignity) and his partner was dressed as Jesus, crown of thorns, stigmata and all.
Great fun. If you ever call down, send me a pm beforehand and I'll keep an eye out for you.
