I had to scan those... I've got more of course...
(For the record, I was three months pregnant there...)
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
Blame the "90's for the big hair....lol... I did my hair and make up myself...
When we re-do our vows.... we'll do it less traditionally...
We did it this way MORE for our families than us, we always felt married.... cant explain it any other way....
(edit: we ask each other on a daily and more than once basis.... to each other..... Will you Marry Me? ... we're NOT perfect... but still on our honeymoon)

Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
You had to show me up by looking better than me.
Seriously, I love those, thank you for posting.
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
How long did it take you to plan your wedding?
Was it a shot gun wedding?
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
I asked Laura to marry me in 1998, around St George's Day. We spent the months between just scraping together the cash to do it. And no, it wasn't a shotgun wedding. There was no violence involved in the actual wedding. Afterwards, there was almost some when one of the "guests" (the one on the left hand side of the second picture, next to my brother) said she would be getting married to me if she had met me first. She said this to my sister.
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
WOW!! Thats cute.
Since I dont know what St George Day is, It occured to me that you may not know what a shot gun wedding is. Its a hillbilly term for she's pregnant at the time of the wedding.
Did your wife get mad when her sis said that?
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
I love her black feather fan instead of flowers!!!
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
The person that said she should be getting married to me wasn't my wife's sister (she's an only child) The girl in question made the statement to MY sister.
And I do know what a shotgun wedding is, it just seemed funnier to mention other things. :D
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
The fan is in fact Antique Victorian Osterich Feather with Tortoise Shell handle. My wife was not too happy about another guest spilling Coke all over it.

So many jokes in that sentence that I'm not going to touch it. Instead, lets focus on how many cans of spray you needed for that 'do of yours.
Re: Wedding photo many moons ago...
I assure you, as its obvious... it took a lotta spray to hold up that do.... I almost had to shave my head because I couldnt brush thru it the next day....
I had it professionally fixed but it looked hideous.... SO I had to recover as best as I could .... after screaming and crying for at least an hr and a half...
I was hormonal with pregnancy and I wasnt prepared to deal with that kind of meltdown material.
I almost made every one but the groom, preacher me and two witnesses....NOT SHOW UP.
The day ended up ok... considering we planned it in close to two weeks, and decided NOT to put very much money in the wedding, and save it for AFTER....
The wedding was as close to free as it gets.
The most expensive things were renting the tux's and our cake.
We made out under 500 bucks.
I think we did good considering....
Eh, point is, we married for love, not money...
