Well, yes.
But this is not exactly an impediment to getting laid now is it? (At least not on the planet I've been visiting anyway.)
Nice going with the work/diet alterations. I know of this HOT-ROX, of which you speak.

Dude, when you're bi, and striking out with BOTH genders.... yeah, it is an impediment.
And yeah, I'm about halfway there. I'll go til I can just see my abs, then stop.

Just a thought... you might try going 30 days with out thinking of yourself, or at least saying anything self deprecating.
Sometimes I actually like the person writing your posts. Something to think about maybe.
(And I might know about this because I've tried it maybe?)
Re: Men's Wear - it's GOOD TO BE A MAN
People do like me, well, apart from my growing list of people who've blocked me...
but none of em'd fuck me. Just a thought.
And you do NOT want me being overpositive. That looks like arrogance and self-loving to the point of narcissism.
Re: Men's Wear - it's GOOD TO BE A MAN
Actually I'd typed up a big reply about Norman Vincent Peale fucking the wormy eye socket of Ayn fuckin' Rand's moldering skull... but opted for a kinder gentler approach. :1orglaugh
There's no reason to take one's self too seriously, but c'mon at a certain point we've all just got to get the fuck over ourselves and go for it anyway.
But do what'cha gotta do BP.
I'll just be glad when I can see a single Ab. :D
Re: Men's Wear - it's GOOD TO BE A MAN
Not when it ends in crashing failure, BF. But I'll get off this topic.

So imagine that you're meeting this guy - he's in a rather expensive suit, but you notice that his shoes are compatible ones, but rather than staid brogues, they've got that unmistakable threading that demonstrates a Dr. Martens sole.
And the earrings are tribal.
He's slick, but not too much, in fact rather brash and self-effacing.
And when his shirt cuffs rise up beyond his wrist, you can see the very edges of tattoos on both wrists. A glance at the gap in the forearms of the shirts, the hole where the shirts are buttoned, reveals glimpses of those same tattoos.
If he ever removes the cross-woven shirt (which shimmers with two colours at once, but in a subtle and not sateen polyester way) you realise that the black tank is tight across hard pectorals and a rather muscled torso.....
Do those two sets of juxtaposed worlds work with each other or against each other? In other words, would you be thinking "those two don't go" or would you be thinking "there is much more to this"?
A suit can either be "I am a cog in a machine which makes me wear this" or "after this fine cigar and martini, I'm going to grab you by the shoulders and fuck your brains out until your knees are trembling so hard you can barely stand." (in a good way - not talking about a rapist here)
How do you emphasise the latter? There is nothing about me that's the former. In what I do, the dress code is "cover your genitals". In fact, bathing is optional, to my dismay....
It depends on the particular female I think. Personally, I like a sharp suited look where there is a sense of power and edge to the guy, like he might be a gangster or a really big sexual deviant. Conversely, I like a punk look where there is a sense of entitlement and strength to the guy, like he might own the town or be a really big sexual deviant. But I move in extremely varied social circles, so I always find people who can function in a variety of environments most congenial.

Oh and A+ :thumb: on the new attire.
I did read in an apparel trade mag recently though, that perhaps because of shows like Mad Men or because of really terrible current female fashions, women's clothing is actually slumping worse than men's. Which is pretty much unheard of. We live in interesting times.

Yeah, I think this was the point at which I was tempted to yell at you last time. LOL
But it's all good.
Great progress on the health front, keep it up! :D

Very cool new clothes, when I want to get some new clothes I have to go the the Big & Tall store, not the best selection in terms of style.
Gotta check out the Hot-Rox, wish my gym had kettlebells, I go to Gold's over here and they seem better equipped than the other gyms but they don't have any kettlebells. At least they don't seem to mind me working out without covering up my tattoo, all other gyms make you tape over your tats. But we still literally have guys stop and stare at us when we do Bent presses or full contact twists, everyone pretty much use only the machines so they think we are doing some crazy shit when we workout. Ever check out Testosterone Nation

I used to be full-bore into Westside Barbell. That and T-Nation were my Gods.
But my priorities are different now. I'm content with my close to 300 bench, rather than getting too blocky to move chasing 420 up to 500.

Thanks for the kudos. That means a lot.
Mad Men?
One of the things I truly dug about the Goth revival era, 1990s edition - I mean, when I was 14, the spiky black hair, eyeliner explosion and fishnets was cool, but there was something to the refined, bespoke Edward Gorey vibe the girls were rocking the 2nd time around that made me pine for a touch of elegance.
But I mean, I'm not an aristocrat or nouveau riche. I like a well made Dirty Gibson as well as the next man and can enjoy anything from Opera through Count Basie to VNV Nation - but there is something to walking into your job and having them worry you're interviewing elsewhere....
THAT is power.

Lol, indeed. It's nice to make an exemplary impression. Especially when one isn't needed.
Re: Men's Wear - it's GOOD TO BE A MAN
Lol @ "men's wear". Clothes are clothes. Axiomatic statements of purpose are silly.
Also lol @ suits, your idea of bargains et all. Very lolzy thread.
Re: Men's Wear - it's GOOD TO BE A MAN
You do not really seem like the diplomatic type.
I like the suits, especially the Kenneth Cole.

Hey, at work I'm ALL business.
