Well that film does have the dishonor of being one of the few films to be a remake of a story done previously as a documentary that was not only well liked but got quite a bit of critical praise. Though it began life as a book one has to wonder why the same people behind the documentary would choose to make a mediocre movie out of their work...really odd case there.

Nicole was really a good actress long before she met Tom Cruise, she was in this Australian TV film, with Denholm Elliott, something like Hong Kong Hilton, or something, where she gets put in jail by mistake and has to break out. I mean, she was GREAT in this film, long before the glam and the glitter got to her!!!!

I agree about Nicole before, she did seem like a very promising firey actress. But like you said, once the tinsel got to her, it seems like she's simply bleh. Like she lost something along the way. Kindof sad if you think about it too much.

As for Martin. I think he's got his head up his butt. SO there.
