The Phelps are a family that also have their own church, Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka Kansas. The leader of the group, Fred Phelps is the pastor for the church. He gained national attention when his group picketed the Matthew Shepard funeral in Wyoming. He was a former civil rights attorney who got disbarred for his religious views. Most of his kids are attorneys or have disowned him completely. He believes that every church but his is a fag church. Generally, whenever a major tragedy happens like 9/11 and the space shuttle explosion. He says it's a sign from god. Apparently, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and any other symbol for the holidays is gay. All catholics are gay (especially the nuns). Every member of the military is gay too. He's got some issues.
