I dunno I THINK I am going to have to say also I like The Dillenger Escape Plan alot..they are more jazzcore though
just a suggestion. wat do yall think about lost prophets
you guy's should check out Lividity. they use hillarious samples from porno movies as the openings of all thier songs.
after seeing this years ozzfest:
dimu gorgon(orsomething to that effect they were norwegian black/death metal) and pretty kick ass...
super joint ritual (phil's band) not bad on the radio... live they sucked ass... damn it phil stop talking about how you can choke the audience with your dick b/c they aren't moshing to your shitty music and put more effort into the show maybe then they will get up and do something other then fall asleep or giggle at your lame attempts to get them riled up. (sorry he did more talking then playing and the songs were sloppy at best) i like damage plan better anyway.
god forbid put on a good show nothing to distinctive about there style but i like there radio stuff and did well live.
thats all i can think of at the moment...i really bad with names
it's a sad day when they start selling norweigan death metal at Target stores.
go dimmu borgir- heart of metal and lost prophets- we still kill the old way and we are godzilla you are japan all pretty mad songs
errr i mean metal heart but liek thats important the song still rocks
Rammstein is a good metal band that is still fairly mainstream, I don't know if you'd call them 'nu-metal' exactly.
HAHAHAHA! That was the most awesome reply I've ever seen!Quote:

I thought a lot of the black metal stuff sounded pretty similar.
I actually liked the one Super Joint Ritual song I downloaded.
"Fuck your enemy"
It was pretty good.
I do like early Rammstein quite a bit....
are murderdolls nu-metal? cause i wouldn't put them under the same label as a band like linkin park really...but murderdolls are my favourite band so maybe i'm biased.Quote:

I dunno if ud full call em nu-metal but if u guys havent ever heard the chimaira they mite be worth a try.
Well I don't know if they should be called numetal. That's why I said "could be called".Quote:

I'm about as off the pulse of new bands of anything. the only metal bands i've heard are the likes of GWAR, Dimmu Borgir, and.. would you call Iced Earth a metal band?
Just thought I'd throw in something new to the discussion. As for "numetal"? it's terrible. That shit needs to stop.
*CRISIS* definitely rock. althought they are not new, they do have a new release and are currently on tour.
check them out!
:D
NONESENCE! there will always be good music in all genres. you just havent gone any further from switching from MTV, to something else.Quote:
If you ask me, none of them.
To set an example, Devin Townsend (not new in the industry) has formed one of the best extreme metal bands, Strapping Young Lad.
Not your style? Off to scandinavia then. Nagash and Blackheart have dismissed their former black metal band Covenant, to form the modern industrial metal The Kovenant.
Ihsahn, (ex-Emperor) has a new band with his wife and her brother, Peccatum.
What about Pain of Salvation? They're relatively new, and already making music history, while beeing the most progressive and avantgarde band to date :rryumy: -
i could go on like this for a long time, so i'll just stop right here. It's not that there arent any good new metal bands. It's just that you dont know where to look for music :-) :p:
Not necesserily. A lot of them are crap, but lets not forget Mudvayne. They're excelent musicians, yet they play NU-metal, what do you have to say about that?Quote:

Meshuggah is too technical to be true, and they (although not from the beginning) as well have NU-metal influences.
I think the locust kick the shit out of all yer bands.
and they aren't even that good.
any Iced earth,Mercyful Fate fans ???
